  1. I used to use Bergantino cabs but for whatever reason, they didn't do it for me. Too modern voiced?
  2. How soft feeling are the Red Label nickels?
  3. What is the view on the Sandberg Hardcore Masterpiece range? Does it really feel like an old, played in bass?
  4. Any non stainless steel alternatives?
  5. What an absolute shambolic way to try and get live music happening again. Did the venue break even? I highly doubt it. A far better option would be to have outdoor venues where you could pull up in your car (like a drive in movie theatre) and watch the gig from the safety of your vehicle and avoid interaction with others. Not that gigs should be happening during these uncertain times.
  6. Can anyone recommend me some new strings for my Jazz? It is currently strung with Fender 7250s. I'm after a roundwound in 40-100 gauges which has a hex core. I play mostly rock and blues, 95% fingerstyle. Ta!
  7. @krispn Another key worker! I will start the clap: 👏
  8. Good to hear. I was looking at picking up a JB-2 which obviously doesn't have a pickguard on it. Some flats installed would make it a thump machine.
  9. Can I suggest a P with flats yet?
  10. Good for you. I have a room for my instruments. My wife and I prefer not to have expensive instruments around the house which look completely out of place. Also dogs etc.
  11. That's why I don't take those gigs... just stand by the toilet door, sir...
  12. I have a room dedicated to all my instruments and equipment. So if I'm not in that room, I won't be picking up an instrument.
  13. I just don't believe that. What next? My Stagg plays better than my Fodera etc.
  14. Has anyone had grounding or shielding issues with their Tributes?
  15. I must be the only person who refuses to use stands and keeps the bass in its case when not in use. 😄
  16. Why would you leave? It's your job has a band mate to support others and help get the best performance out of them. Even in the studio, encouraging creativity could produce a part which was better than the original. Mixing is also essential to get right; you can't just say, "Make sure the bass is audible.". It's about the whole mix and making sure everything is audible but tight and punchy. A band is only has strong has its weakest link.
