  1. Sent him a message asking why he uses a fake thumbnail and if he does not change it, I will be seeing him in court for false advertising.
  2. Er... I would check that. I'm pretty sure it will have moved after 30 years of temperature changes.
  3. Price doesn't always reflect quality. Remember - this is 2020. We're not in the 70s or 80s anymore.
  4. I wouldn't expect any bass to arrive perfectly set-up.
  5. But still - extra views to screw over a business. Not a good look.
  6. Short scales are just has likely to neck dive. You wouldn't think so but it's true. EDIT BEFORE THE HATE - This does not mean all short scales neck dive!
  7. Because a picture is definitely the finished article in your hands...
  8. Why try and screw over a genuine music shop via Youtube? Why not contact them privately? Real classy...
  9. I would lower your budget and buy a Squier Precision or Jazz. You will be getting a gig worthy instrument without investing too much cash. If you decide you like playing bass and want to continue, then you can either a) keep the bass and buy a 'better' one or b) sell the Squier and purchase something else. Over £1k for a first instrument is crazy IMO. Hold on for the supercar when you know the way around the racetrack.
  10. No Flea or Mark King in the top 10?!
  11. Ah, the old throw a blanket over the cabinet trick.
  12. I guess Schaller tuners would be worth fitting but they won't change the sound of the bass.
  13. I'm surprised the basses you have wouldn't already cover the tones of the Sandberg.
  14. Have you tried turning it off and on again?
  15. So did the neck go because of the increase in tension on the neck? Had a flick through this thread but didn't see a definitive answer.
  16. Thanks! Have you tried the Fender 7150s or GHS Balanced Nickels? I would be interested to see how they compare.
  17. Is there any way to buy these without paying the ridiculous shipping costs? Been itching to try these...
  18. I will say, I thought Pure Blues were brighter fresh on than Fat Beams which was surprising.
  19. Pure Blues to me were confusing. I thought of them has a hybrid of Sunbeams and Hi Beams but didn't particularly outshine either string.
  20. Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder PJ set might be worth a shot?
