  1. I've tried Newtone roundcores but went back to my beloved Sunbeams and Fat Beams. Reason being is that I felt the Newtones were a little stiffer (similar to roundcore GHS Boomers) and they didn't quite last as long as the DRs did. They're good strings but just didn't quite do it for me.
  2. If the silks are black, you could Sharpie the ends to make them aligned?
  3. Watts are basically a way of saying someone has acknowledged your post. So you may be wondering why your watt rating isn't that high - I will give you a hint. Members on here really like the Ramones...
  4. I gave up pub gigs years ago... couldn't be arsed anymore with the load in/out which was always a nightmare, the endless requests, idiots asking to have a go on your instrument or trying to get on stage, drunk punters wanting to fight you or each other and dodgy landlords who said they 'didn't have the cash right now'. Started playing clubs instead and my experience was a complete 180. To boot, we were paid more and the clientele weren't idiots!
  5. Hmm... I've seen that somewhere before...
  6. Does this come with a gigbag or a hardcase?
  7. Guess which person works on Wall Street? 😎
  8. Flat and lifeless to some is natural and transparent to others - proud CMD121P owner here!
  9. I would go for these Picato strings: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274129059889
  10. It was a plant by GK/Ampeg/Ashdown/Eden/TC etc!
  11. It has a passive mode too which sounds great. Extremely underrated the Electra series is.
  12. Another unappreciated band, Quicksand. They helped restart the 90s punk/hardcore scenes but were given zero credit for it.
  13. I think it's more when Slash and Duff rejoined the band and they started getting these big money offers... I believe included in the contract was something along the lines of "You will be on stage at xxx and play for xxx minutes or you won't get paid".
  14. I might have seen them on that tour... the name definitely rings a bell.
