I had purchased Turn Blue and was a big fan of that album. I very quickly snapped up tickets and then they did that. Don't think I'll bother going to see them after that. I already saw them on the El Camino tour anyway.

If you're concerned about weight, I would go for a Sandberg Electra VS4. Tiny bit over budget but I've never played a 'heavy' Sandberg.

So how will the bogs work at a venue? Can't swing a cat in there normally...

What bass do you primarily play?

I think Johnny played all the power chord stuff - he definitely didn't do the solos!

Rock N' Roll Radio is a good example. Now, I like Dee Dee has a bass player. He showed up did his job and did it well. Rock N' Roll Radio has a bassline that is not very Dee Dee like. The bass follows the melody instead of sticking to the usual root notes. Dee Dee wasn't really known for adventurous bass playing so maybe someone else ghost played on that track? Dee Dee could still play that line live with no problems.

But how do you define 'talent'? To some, it's who can play the most notes in a second, to others it's creating catchy, memorable songs.

I don't own one but a friend does. IIRC his weighs 9.3 lbs.

If I remember correctly, the Orange Burst has a weird control layout. Volume and gain work has normal but bass is cut only and treble is boost only. I didn't experience that much low end loss for it to annoy me. These are the settings I used:

G&L L-100 Tribute all day. Makes the Fender Player series look incredibly overpriced.

I went from the Orange Burst to the TC Spark Booster. Awesome pedal that does the low gain thing so well. No end loss and very transparent on the clean setting.

I've played both A/B and D class LM heads side by side and they sound exactly the same. Don't be sucked into all of this class D is rubbish thing. If a person believes something enough, no matter what evidence is given, they will still be unswayed in their opinion.

I wish someone did a budget Tech 21 Leeds... or they just put it back into production.

I will reserve judgement until I play one. Anyone knocking a product without actually trying it themselves is clearly not worth the time.

I noticed that with the MM Sterlings but the priced jumped by £200.
