7. Great collection!!! 'Winger' is one of my favourite albums, great version of purple haze!! and I love 'seventeen'
  8. I,ve recently used a GK700 rb2 2x10 combo on top of an 8x10/ svt2 pro with the combo for all the fuzzy sounds and the ampeg rig for the straight signal. I think it,s one of the best sounds I,ve had in ages!!

    What Cab?

Hi sorry for the late reply! I paid £1000 and £700 for each of the svt2 pro,s the JH flightcase they live in was about £100, the first 8x10 I bought was brand new for £880, since then the most I paid for a cab was £700 for a flightcased one and £300 for the cheapest. The most recent video that we have done ( which should be on our site in the next few days) sees me on stage with SIX 8x10s stacked horizontally 3 high!! altho some were borrowed from the very nice people from Ampeg uk and John Henrys. Paul. Ever get the feeling that we miss our Lego sets??

  12.
If it's intended for the bass in your avatar - that isn't a Rickenbacker you have there. It is a 1970s Japanese copy. Try & remember that. Jon.
Sticking ric trc,s onto ric copies is so passe, Get jon here to make you a nice electra one.. (see his avatar) :-)
  13.
I'm sure he would have liked you too!
Nice. :-)
  14.
and slap bass
Halleluya!!! +1! Always sounds like bikketybikketybikkety, wether it,s during a song or at any bass gathering/musicshow etc. It seems you don,t have to be in the right key, just get that bikkety bikkety bit down and you,re away!!! I,m gonna duck now!! :-)
  15. Thats nice! I picked up the six stringed sister to it a couple of weeks ago. If it plays as nicely then you,ve got a real bargain.
  16.
You know I really want one of these then buy a 7.5 ton truck and turn up to a small pub gig with it and have the line "what do you mean too big?" waiting.
I,m wondering if ampeg,ll do a deal if I buy two!
  17. It,s proof that playing in bands keeps you young, having tons of cash and no worries also helps!!!
  18. How cool is that?

  20.
thats another debate... no doubt thats what its for but i still feel it is mindless w***ing...
At least this time you admitted that 'you feel' its mindless blah blah blah as I can assure you that many people here do not. :-)
  21. I,ve been buying and selling guitars for over twenty years and remember going to denmark st back in the eighties, the situation was the same then. I remember that once i was after a trem for one of my guitars and one store had a gold coloured one for something like 180 and the store over the road (rhodes music I think) had one in chrome that I wanted for 200 so I went in and asked would they match the price of the one over the road, The prick behind the counter phoned the shop over the road and then said " go over and check the price now!" sure enough the other one was priced at 200. If denmark st was bulldozed tomorrow it would not be missed one iota.
  22.
Awesome SRs - I assume they are early/mid 90's Japanese models? Is that fretless a 1205? Great to see some older Soundgears on Basschat - there don't seem to be too many kicking around.
The two through necks are from around 93 and are both from the us, the 405 is a few years newer and was originally black but I gave it a refinish about a year ago. Oh yes and the 1205 is a fretless, with inlaid white lines.
  23. Chers dude, The six stringers are left over from a widdly widdly period that I went thru in the eighties
  24. I finally got round to taking some individual photos of my collection.
  25.
its a shame mr. masaki is such an awesome bassist that he needs the fret numbers in place of the dot inlays... load of mindless w***ing anyway...
Oh for goodness sake!!! The markings are for the viewer to see!!!
