  1. The Guild got delivered today and to be fair I think that’s the keeper. The Alien is a tremendous bass though ❤️
  2. One needs to go and I’m genuinely torn 🤔😣😳
  3. Guys can I ask. I’ve plugged it in to my extension link On my cab and it’s silent. Will this only make a noise with a real high frequencies or am I looking at an issue. All 4 speakers are working Thanks in advance Mike
  4. Hi all I’ve just picked up one of these. Can anyone tell me anything about them. I know it’s a high frequency add on but could it handle an ELF for home practice or is this not what it’s all about Cheers Mike
  5. I certainly did Graham 👍😂😊
  6. Hi all I've bought a Warwick Alien and I'm condering fitting flats. The question is what type... I have Fender 9150's on my electric basses but would these work on this acoustic bass? Cheers Mike
  7. Hi everyone Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on the Line 6 G75 wireless system Thanks in advance Mike

  11. Hi everyone I'm after a bit of advice..... I have a Trace Elliot Elf which is just fab and I believe it's rated 130 watts @ 8ohm and 200 watts @ 4ohm I also have a TC Electronic RS210c 400 watt @ 8ohm It is possible or wise to rewire the 210 as a 4 ohm cab so that I' m getting the most out of my ELF or would this damage the amp??? Thanks in advance Mike
  12. 40 years since being sold and 44 since being made. The spacers are all original and because the bridge covers are usually taken off then they will have gone missing over the years. She is totally stock 👌😊👍
  13. I don’t know but to be fair I don’t thinks it’s heavy. I have a Ricky 4003s so I guess I’m used to it 😊
  14. Not been able to plug it in yet but I'll know by the weekend
  15. I’d put the feelers out in the Uk but had no real joy then found this beauty out in the US. The guy I bought it off had bought it off the son of the chap who had owned it from new in 1980 and had just flipped it. It was manufactured in late 1976 and must have sat around for several years. Anyway I’m the new lucky owner and this bass is a gem. 100% original and it still has the bridge cover plastic buffers on which is really rare to find.... I’m buzzing
  16. I’ve managed to find a real nice Ripper in Washington DC so I’ve bought it tonight👌👍
  17. Here is another way of doing it http://www.treeguitarworks.com/strap-button-on-es-guitars.html I've ordered my resin.........
  18. Hi. A slight fuller and brighter tone but great sustain 😊
  19. That’s is another benefit 👍
  20. Bought one of theses off eBay for $30 usd and I’ve gotta say that it’s simple to fit, looks good and sounds fab..... well worth considering 👍
  21. Well I've done it.....a small hole drilled into what is not a deep laminate. I've added some PVA in with the screw and it seems fine. In time if it should work loose then I will look to add a small block behind the upper horn but up to now it seems fine
