    Wow,my old bass... It's a 2003 Highway One US jazz.A rare colour too,never seen another one for sale on here. Absolute bargain at £650. I'd buy it back in an instant if I needed another jazz bass. Should be reasonably easy for a tech to to return it to passive. Good luck with the sale Mike.Even though you're a Yorkshire red Steve

    I had one of these in a "woven chrome" finish and it played and sounded superb.If anyone's wondering-don't be fooled by the "compact" nature of the bass-they sound absolutely huge. This will work sonically in almost any gig.

    I worked in music retail in various positions for over a decade. Sales people are human like anyone else,they have good days and bad. And in my experience-lets face it, there's one or two...errr... "faulty customers" out there. Went against my own "golden rule" and bought a lovely s/h Musicman Stingray mail order from BD.It was spot on,arrived just as described by Mark. Same with a Markbass cab. One of the few places I'd have faith to "buy without try."

    The 9v battery is located under the control plate-no rear compartment. Hurts me too!
