It sounds great! The pedal nails Stu Brooks tone from his latest Dub Trio album [i]Another Sound is Dying[/i] quite perfectly. Excellent tone, playing and insane riffs and song on that album!

My V8 had fuse issues a couple of years ago. It blew one of the power tube fuse holders plus some circuit board component (resistor or something). I'd like my V8 to be more reliable. Bart -
Indeed, it's not my V8. :-) That 8x10 he's selling is even more rare than the V8 in my opinion. You never see them for sale.

Hi all, I'm willing to sell/trade my beloved Trace Elliot V8. You're all familiar with this beast. PM me with offers. I also like trades for another all-tube amp. Amps I like are the Ampeg V4(BH), an Ampeg SVT II (non pro model!), and a Trace Elliot V4. But feel free to send other offers. Reason for sale/trade is that I prefer lower wattage tube amps. Hey guys, I quit my band in july 2007. I haven't played bass since then. I still have the V8, but I'm thinking about selling it. I'm considering trades for a V4 too (same cosmetics as my the V8, not the carpeted one), feel free to drop your offers at my door... I need to know if these 'newest' V4's have a half-power mode as well (like the V8)? Bart

They really should be making these bongo's in wood finishes like the one up top... The only thing I don't like 'bout 'm is them solid colors. Neat bass though!

Ha, seems everyone already knows about my little V8 fan site... I love this amp. I died on me once. Blown tube and cap that needed replacement. But besides that it's a beast. Excellent sound. Always liked it. I own a carpet Trace 8x10 too. Great combo with the V8. Crystal clear yet very punchy and deep. Loud but never overpowering. Extremely room-filling. You WILL be heard... don't play mistakes... people will hear it! What else do you want to know? greetings, Bart
