thunderider

was considering buying a bass,but the seller says the truss rods loose n ratlles ,so is the ok or is it as the trussrods rattling theres no tentsion in the neck?

im from birmingham....and we did a version of hungry like the wolf.....some people just cant let em go eh?

actully it was me...i walked in....plugged my ric in...turned the bass and the middle off...treble all the way...volume to 10...flipped em the finger......ok not really..... if N# didnt get it im pretty fooked!!

the sticker suits it,donchya just hate damge but i bought a tbird at a really good price 2 days later some thing dropped on it putting a dink in it,but have a french polisher aquantance!! but i put maltease crosses on mine in hommage to lemmy!!

DOH! smoking head....8 and 4 ohm cabs dont go in to a 4 ohm head.....gives me 2 ohms!!! thats that one sorted!!

I looked to day and my guitarest has the combo version and i give that ago but his only has 112 in and i gave it a quick shot but no bottom endso i may pass on that one!! But my main concern is if i get a 100w marshall solid or valve im concerned it wont drive my 118 as i have a spare 100w and that makes a horrid farty crackle noise at full tilt, but will drive my 115 but its nit very loud!! Or am i deaf!!

Its a laney dp 150 but i think it may be the power out put as that cracles if u move plug, but the hiss seemed to kinda get better as i played.asfor signal chain im going straight from bass to amp i have no fx, but what did concern me was rhe smoke from the back when i plugged my 2 cabs in a115 and 118!!!! But also inputs and out put jacks crackle and cut out....maybe it needs a good service!!

Iv just on to sort my gear out plugged in and the amp has developed a hiss even when guitars not plugged in its a bit better if i bypass EQ any ideas?? It was ok last week???

I do have bass heads a laney dp150 and a custom sound but realy im after a marshall, id love a valve but theyre megabucks but what annoys the hell out of me is graphic sliders i hate them with a passion!!! I want in reality a valve amp with four knobs on..a bit like on a park head that got lost in the mists of time,ive not got a lot of money left after buying an epi t bird at a great price, but the guys wants bout a ton for this but ill get it a bit cheaper! I got miss mached bits n peices i want one great head and my 118 as i play with a ric and a t bird id realy like a fender bassman 50 as they roar! But they stoopid money like all valves!!

Some ones offered me a marshall Mg100 hdfx lead amp at a reasonable price would it be ok to use ill be putting it through my 118 bass cab, i wont blow it up with bass? I was sure marshall are pretty much universal?

dont know what the speaker is,but both amps i have are both min 4 ohm!

personally...id strip hard ware off....take neck off take the body to a proper woodfinisher/french polisher.....get them to d all the work,finish it with a pu paint....iwth ur time and paint probly wouldnt be that much more.....£25 a sq meter.....

my main kit is a laney 150 dp and a celestion substation 18,it drives it very well! i also have a custom sound amp supposed to be 150 but apparently is only 100w!! when tested,with this head iv got a 115 and a 212 and it drives em well, but if i connect the customsound up to the 18 and crank it up it seems to make the speaker "fart" at the top end.....bit perplexing!!....any ideas?

hi everyone,as ive been after a valve head for a while,ive been offered a 200 watt lead head,but not to sure as i may loose my bottom end as at the moment im subsonic with my laney head and 118 cab,but if anyone uses a lead valve head and get some good bottoms from it id like to know,or whats the general consensuss of this?

i have 2 150 watt heads and want to link them,will this give me more power...300watts? but what im looking to do is run bass into input amp1...then line out of amp 1 in to input of amp2 then spekars out of amp 2....is this correct?

im in brum too...but just missed this one!!......jugs been shut for years!!...the upstairs of the hare n hounds in kingsheath would be good...or maybe the gig room at robannas...but im up for a bash...be good to meet like minded people who all probly get told to turn it down by guitarists all the time!!

iv got a laney dp 150 head going through a 115 and 118, if i turn up the gain,with the bass on the eq high it distorts even speakers of these size and the red light comes on,altho laney say this has to flicker,my gears on rickenfaker page,but dont seem loud,also the volume on the right seem not to do alot,also talk of volume 2 bassist i admire play heavy rawkus bass,first being lemmy,it suprised me hes sposed to be the loudest bassest yet he running a 100 watt head with 2 412s dont seem to powerfull to me,the other being alan davey he seems to use a mixture of stuff when gigging,but he uses 2 fender bassman 50 heads with a ashdown 115 and a 2112,but they seem to drive these and get some volume outta these!!,i wanna play loud!!
