Hi, I got a BBE Sonic Stomp pedal in a trade recently and don't really have much of use for it at the moment becuase I'm not playing in a band or anything. It's a cool little pedal and added a bit of punch and definition on my friends telecaster and marshall. I haven't tried it with my bass yet but the booklet says it works well with basses. Would like £75 posted for it. Almost perfect condition just a bit of grime on the pedal no scratches in the paint. Comes with original box and paper work and even the factory sealed battery, I think it is supposed to come with a 9V adaptor but the person who traded with me didn't give me it so I don't have that to give you. Runs off the standard boss 9V supply. Any questions post here or PM me. I'll try get some pictures up sometime soon. Edit: Price drop, £70 posted. Edit 2: Price drop: £65 posted.
That's very handy - I was just thinking that I could really use a clean boost pedal, and here are two of them! Would anyone care to comment on what the difference might be between the Lineal and the HardOne, other than the former has a linear pot and the latter a log pot?
I think the Lineal is based on a EHX LPB-1 and he HardOne is a Zvex SHO clone. To TS, if you're looking for complete kits, I'd recommend BYOC over the das musikding kits after building both. Also check the BYOC forum, there's a good few vero layouts and the people there are quite friendly.
Outrageous! Is that an acoustic guitar you're feeding in to the distortion? Does your mum nag you about tidying your bedroom?
Yeah it's the only guitar I've got at the moment, it feedbacks like a beast a lot of the time when testing pedals which is a pain. I'm living away for uni at the moment so she doesn't see my room despite it being constantly tidy, but when living at home (in my orange room that you can see in my above pictures) I'm constantly told to tidy it

Nice build Al, Tubescreamer + booster is a good combo for a dual pedal I think. Looks awesome too. Here's one of the last things I built, it's a ring modulator and pulse width modulator pedal in one enclosure made mostly from spare bits for my friend: Here's a quick video of it as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKy1FM6i1Nk
Cheers, will do. I reckon I might need some help on component changes for switching NPN and PNP circuits, adding a blend control and improving bass response. Got 4 boxes coming, 2 * 1 knob, 2 * 2 knob and a 5 knob. I reckon a couple of fuzz faces, (1 AC127 germ and one BC108 Si), a couple of one knob fuzzes (ie colorsounds) and either a fuzz factory or a wooly mammoth clone, although I'm open to suggestions. Edit:- here's a list of the transistors I've got so far to play with. 8 * BD139 (possibly useless for fuzz) 4 * gain selected (2 pairs) AC127 20 * BC108 6 * BC109B (might use a couple of these for modding my Crybaby) 2 * gain selected 2N404 6 * AC176
http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php...NFLY-LAYOUTS_0/ There's some interesting vintage fuzz circuits here using BC108s that don't get made commonly. -
Hi just finished my first project: fuzz factory, from musikding.de, where i bought the kit. It was my first attempt on something like that and I must say I'm very pleased with the result. Camera got nicked so no pics yet. What surprised me was that drilling the enclosure cost me about as much effort as soldering the circuit board. Fun pedal, but works best for higher freqs though I find - my mates electric fiddle was awesome with it. I wonder if there is a bass-equivalent, or a mod?
To get more lower end I changed the electrolytic cap nearest the input to 22uf and the one nearest the output to 47uf like shown in the diagram above. I'd love to heard a fuzz factory on a fiddle I don't know anyone who has one though.
