Done free of charge on a whim. According to legend in 1 (or 3) takes + 1 of the Studio Monitors caught fire. Brevity of the solo certainly left one wanting just a little bit more. Whilst on the subject of tribute players - during the interval of last year's Cricket World Cup Final, one of the Test Match Special Commentary Team played an awesome version of Eruption. Did anyone else here catch it ? Made the very mediocre guitarist doing interval music cringe a bit I reckon.

There was an attempt at this a good few years ago, a thing called the Finial. Apparently sounded awful. Maybe latter-day processing improvements make this better. -
Or someone from Meshuggah.

Yes Today all my troubles seemed so far away.

A late friend of mine called this sort of music "wimp ditties" 😀

Golden age is surely a bit of a myth, just that no-one remembers the dross. Same with Telly etc.

Pete Briquette Boomtown Rats - What bass is this??
JottoSW1 replied to Joshua Higginson's topic in Bass Guitars
Certainly the case, the alarming thing was how swiftly it would change due to relatively minor temp fluctuations. Maybe they should have considered Titanium or Invar. Main reason I got it was cos it looked great. As a Lefty I even had to play it upside down. -

Sold mine in 1992, wish I'd kept it. -
Now it's time for a parfitt ending.

Seriously tho was mighty impressed by the Tony Bennet collaboration. Some of her own stuff annoyingly catchy (Poker Face)

Note Hulk has his bass artfully arranged to cover up the rumoured steroid ravaged testicles. Have no idea who some of these "celebs" are.

Entirely reasonable (he's a tw@). Their Glasto appearance, he used mallets and appeared to be playing in a different band🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mine have their own little Tube Energiser thing. Bought them in 1989 so they might be feeling their age. -

+ 1 on the Stax headphones. Mine are a little Bass Light but the musicality / clarity is magic. Have a mix of oldish / newish stuff. Linn lp12 + Manticore mantra turntables Nad CD player Audiolab 8000 pre amp and 2 X power amps Musical Fidelity Mf2 speakers (bi-amped) Kenwood Cassette deck that I haven't used for ages Massive 1960s Empire reference turntable that I inherited from my late Dad. After a heads up courtesy of @la bam I got a Laney Nexus N410 now paired with an N115. Whilst I've indulged in some other Cab GAS these two sound brilliant, seem very well made and are uncannilly light/compact. Paired with a TE Ah500x it's fortunate that we have access to a big space. Have to be very moderate with the volume control.
