1. Whereabouts in the country are you please?
2.
I am sad to say that I cannot yet play in time.
Are you the drummer in my old band?
3.
I was expected to set my gear up and then set up the whole PA inc monitors...
Why is bass players always seem to be the ones that set the PA up first and all our stuff last? I do own the PA but it doesn't mean I want to set it up solo thanks!
4.
Mine is basically what I have now, but in a case that I am having made, with a couple of additions.
That's a great looking barbeque Ped. Let us know when you fire it up and I'll bring round some chicken kebabs.
5.
Totally agree. You may sound like you playing whatever bass, but the basses will all sound like whatever they are.
+1. I reckon a lot of it is in the fingers but imagine Jamerson on a Stingray w/roundwounds or Mark King on a Hofner Violin w/flatwounds. Their style would still be there but it would sound a bit odd.
6. Nice...are you looking for lots of £££s though?
7. Flashback...I grew up reading these when I should have been buying Razzle.
8. Oi - stop trying to form a splinter group - you've got a bass bash to organise!
9.
Has she lost her legs and is having prosthetics fitted?!?
It's more a "check-up from the neck up". Apparently the new neck and head will make a sound that goes on for ages as well as pointing out your mistakes more clearly than the standard one. I can't see how that's possible...
10. Has this not gone? Surprised. For anyone lusting over a SR5, this is a similar sound for half the price!
11. Trust your instinct. Would you send cash to someone who'd placed a classified ad? No. PayPal would be the obvious solution I guess or fly up there and pick it up.
12. There's not really a bass I feel sorry about selling but I wish I'd held onto my Fender Rumble combo. I sold it when it was only about a year old in perfect nick (with a custom made cover) because I was lusting after a head and cab I'd seen. I got a good price for it but it was a great for rehearsals - should have kept the flipping thing!
13. I'm just shipping mine off to a man in Essex who's promising to replace half of her in carbon graphite. I'm hoping she'll come back looking pretty and nice to touch.
14.
When I took Miss ped to Bass Day (kind of me, no?)
You know how to show a girl a good time, eh?
15. If anyone's still wanting one of these - I've also got a mint copy with the CDs - which I'll do for the same deal. PM me if you're interested.
16. Sounds really good. You're locked in nicely with the drummer, which is great. Lots of space to it all, like it.
17.
...I might pop along. If I do I'll bring my Shuker P5...
Please do. You'll have people crowding round it like a supercar at a motorshow.

19. This (and a roadie) would probably do me:
20. Er - it's supposed to be a friendly forum, not Exchange and Mart. Edit: that's directed at the OP - not Wayne.
21.
I've used it a couple of times at gigs, most infamously when I locked all my gear in the boot of my car on the way to a gig once....
That's made me chuckle!
22.
Starts 10am, finished by 6pm
That's if we're not kicked out for making too much noise.... Now, show us your neck!
23.
I found NYC pretty awful bass wise. Only a couple of shops and both were staffed by utter to$$ers.
LA's the best - as long as you don't mind being called "dude" and "man" by the dudes, er, people who work in Guitar Center and the like.
24. There's a G&L L2500 Tribute going in the For Sale section at the moment. £350. Lots of bass for not much cash. Far east made but with US pickups, bridge and pre-amp.
