Search: Amazing Slow Downer by Roni Music. It's not free but it's really good. -

Need a wedding band that doesn't play Mustang Sally
When we're feeling saucy and the dance floor is full, we often go from the last chorus of Must Hang Sally straight into Disco Inferno a la cabaret medley. Surely this ranks highly on the cheesometer - the audience always seem to like it though. Embarrassed of Preston.
That a big wedge of Brie. Edit: although if it fills the dancefloor, it's "job done". -
Building band websites - what do you use?
As the party band market is largely geographical (and that's reflected in your search terms) , I'd recommend making it clear from your header graphic where you are in the world. Your site also seems be built with Frames. If that's so Google won't read anything ... I tried searching for your text (from the long list of places at the bottom of the home page) and found your myspace page but not this site... It may improve if it's that new but you need to look out for any google friendly fixes that iWeb may offer.
Thanks - it's still on a masked URL at the mo until I can get it uploaded next week. Will put location in top of page. Need to do more "Google" work on it. -

+1 I don't mind cheesy songs at weddings - hey, couple of pints and even dance to Wham - but if the band starts doing Queen covers, see ya, I'm off to the bar. -
WOW I am green with envy... look at your set list Always been a big SKA / RudeBoy fan (was one in the late 70's early 80's) I wish I could get our band to play some of those... nearest I get is Clapton's cover of "Shot the sheriff"
Cheers...some of those tunes are great fun to play. -
Nice set-up. Watched the YouTube clip - that bass is like a fruit machine doing the special feature gamble!
-
I love the fact that your rig's three times the size of the guitarist's combo.
I use WordPress for all the sites I make now. For the obviously 5 believers site: I used WordPress with various plugins for things like audio players, Gig Listings, Google maps, contact form & paypal payments.
Looks really good. I've just redesigned ours using iWeb on the Mac. See what you think: www.wagthedogband.co.uk It's my first attempt attempt at a proper site. It's currently on the .Mac server which is painfully slow, so will be swapping it out to a proper host soon. Anyone got a good FTP app for Mac to get it from iWeb-->server please? -
3 hours grabbed as and when - but usually only to learn new stuff or iron out problems from gigs.

You can get something half decent together quickly on GoogleSites (used to be called GooglePages) for free - with no annoying ads or popups. -
the neck is £275 alone right? they charge £150 to fit it?! f*** me
£276 + VAT = £325 plus £100 fitting and set-up.
how much would it cost to get one of those necks bought and fitted to my ray?? iv been thinking about it since i got it, bet it plays fantastic
£425

Very nice. I had to stop myself from also phoning up and getting one of these today - reminding myself that it's a Status neck for my Ray that I really want - not another bass. But the price of these are amazing.

Good - but need more hardcore pics...

Anyone got an all-graphite Series 2000? If so pics please for me to drool over.
Just looking at some old photos and found this from about 2 years ago - my first rig after a 10 year or so break from playing bass.
Very tasty... I'm tempted to get one of those Behringer tuners - just for the rack light. That's me being quite sad, I think.
-
What about one of the discount Spectors going cheap at Reverb (Sound Control)? Very similar to your Warwick I would have thought.

Got one thanks - just signed up. It's easy. Content looks really good. If they'd post it to the UK, I'd probably pay to subscribe. Reading it on a screen is ok, but you can't beat sitting on the sofa with a proper mag and a big cup of strong, milky tea!
