I have 2 Ampeg premier edition SVT II pros for sale. These were a limited run of 250 The predecessor to the full release of the SVT II pro, hand wired I believe. Both heads are in great condition and all the tubes are good. They get fired up once a week to keep the caps in goods order and they sound amazing. Yes they are heavy but I’m 58 and have no trouble lugging them around, my main is still an SVT II. Looking for £900 each, if your going on tour and need them both I’ll take £1700 the pair. They are to heavy to ship but I’m willing to travel 50 miles from Birmingham, further if you cover fuel costs. im happy to take trades WHY?

I’ve been playing it tonight, the action is beautiful, I’m sad it has to go but it’s a waste sat under a bed in the case

Always need a good back story!

1990’s we plugged into back line with what we had, mostly guitar cables 😯, ohm’s, never heard of them, internet comes along, now I use the correct cable and make sure my valve heads are matched to the correct cab/cabs. I never had a bad gig in the 90’s…

I’ve thought long and hard about the 63 for months, it’s a once in a lifetime bass, but for noodling at home it’s just not right. My recording days are over or I’d keep it, it’s such a nice tone, the pickups are still hot but so mellow and rich. It should be out with someone who can get the most out of it.

So I have a 1963 precision which I love to bits, however I was concerned about taking her to gigs, not that’s its irreplaceable but I’d hate to see her sprayed Matt black and sold for £250 at cash converters if it ever got stolen. I had a Tony Franklin fretless precision a while ago, and it was a superb bass, played extremely well and the build was top notch. I just had no need for it. I’d seen the fretted model in pictures but they seem to be like rocking horse sh!t, so when I saw one pop up at Bass Bros I got myself down there sharpish. I’m playing in a psych rock band now and the precision is a great fit, but occasionally I wanted a little more growl and bite so the three way toggle switch and jazz pick up (I know this sound from the fretless) would be ideal. I wasn’t disappointed. For those that have owned/played a Franklin signature you know where I’m coming from, they easily match the stuff coming from the custom shop. For those that haven’t, I’d highly recommend you find someone who has one and try it, it will start your search. The action is low, I play in drop D and it handles it well, I was disappointed there wasn’t a dtuner on it like the fretless, but I can fix this. Anyway it has surpassed my expectations so much the 63 will be up for sale soon, this meets all my requirements.

I’ll drop this to £1750 for the weekend. 2016 Ernie Ball Musicman ‘old smoothie’ in smoothie burst. This plays like a dream and sounds amazing. currently strung with flats. comes with the Musicman hard case. I love this bass but since needing more of a precision sound it really hasn’t been played. I'm willing to drive 50 miles from Birmingham to deliver, further for a petrol cost. I can’t post this at this moment in time. weighs 9Ib on my non digital scales. there’s one just sold at Bass Bros for over £1900 so I think this is a fair price for a bass that doesn’t come up that often.

Forgot I still had this, price drop to £220 + P&P to clear some space. GK plex preamp/DI for sale, overdrive and compressor built in. This comes with a number of Gk amp sounds built into it and it really is a very versatile preamp/DI. if you’ve done lugging round an amp setup but love the GK sound, you won’t go wrong with this.

Haven’t been on in awhile as real life took over my passion for bass. I’m going to be selling on a lot of gear over the next month or so but I’ll start with these beauties, took me a long time to get them together. I'm not going to go into long descriptions of them you all know what they do. 1st up is the GR2 envelope filter (my personal favourite) 2nd is the octabvre, fantastic octave with sub and “Tim” switch 3rd up Doom 2 great range of fuzz/distortion sounds 4th is The Enabler which is a great EQ/DI 5th is the WonderLove another highly desirable envelope filter with a good following 6th the PWNZOR optical compressor, I took my big box Cali off the board for this. 7th The Proton LE. Another envelope filter (I do like a good filter) again has a following of die hards they all bring something to the table. The GR2, Doom, proton and Octabvre have the original boxes the other 3 do not. I’m looking for £300 each incl p&p or if someone wants to buy the lot I’ll let them go for £2000 including delivery up to 50miles or p&p included. bank transfer or PayPal F&F accepted.
