  1. Well, summer is coming and it’s the best day of the year
  2. I just reacted to this on another post. you can’t knock the guy, as I asked there, how do you start to work this composition out?
  3. How the hell do you even start to work something like this out?
  4. With most of these old funk players as I’ve found, they have it inside them. They probably never played it the same twice live. Just jump in, get the vibe, basics and let the fingers go wild 😄
  5. Going through a Duck Dunn stage atm
  6. That orange leotard, my eyes!!! 😵
  7. Lighter strings in general are better with a lighter touch but can feel more “grabby” and hit the frets a bit more when played hard. Heavier strings will be higher tension when tuned up and can play faster. I find I can play faster nearer the bridge but at the moment I’m playing TI flats mostly which are really low tension. That’s my experience anyway.
  8. Hell ain’t a bad place to be - AC/DC
  9. Nice simple solo from Sean Hurley playing with vertical horizon Nothing too fancy, just the right notes, a lovely tone, a little bit of octave at one point and nod towards whitesnake at the end.
  10. You have that option when you get to checkout
  11. Greetings, I’m sure there will be plenty to keep you amused.
  12. Manic depression - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
  13. I have a handbox WD100 all tube amp for use with my Bag end cabs but I also have a lightweight rig with my Trickfish class D bullhead 1k and a Greenboy fearless F112 which although different sounds amazing. I tend to put the passive with flats through the tubes and the stingray/ACG through the Trickfish as they have the active pre for colour.
  14. If you fancy a bit of Rustee too listen to the album “fresh” by sly and the family stone the first track “In Time” is just an amazing bass line and the drum pattern is just slick
  15. I preferred Rustee Allen with sly and the family stone although you can’t take away from Larry Graham. Here’s a section out of a live event with Larry Graham and Stanley Clarke it was the “live under the sky” gig in Japan 1985 the whole thing is great. check it out on your phone if you have no YouTube on the laptop it’s a great gig.
  16. Mr soft - Steve Harley and cockney Rebel
  17. Asleep at the wheel - Suicidal Tendencies
  18. In the grip of a tyre fitters hand -Budgie
  19. Sabbath bloody Sabbath - Black Sabbath

The SWR has an amazing Overdrive and can also be used as a 5w practice amp on its own.I managed to get that beauty from flea bay for £200 The Trace apparently was a close proximity to the Alembic FX1 but I’ve not played one of those yet. I just know it’s a beautiful sound and with the “deep” switch engaged it’s bowel moving. Remember to take note of the input sensitivity of any preamps you purchase the SWR is low at .775v That’s why I bought the Crown you can adjust the Sensitivity from .775v - 1.4v It won’t damage anything running a .775 at 1.4 on the amp but you won’t get the full power out it and will need to crank the gain and volume up which can cause distortion.
