    I have some beautiful great sounding and expensive basses, I can’t even call them basses any more, they’ve become “a collection” I have some of the best amps ever built according to the polls “a collection” too pedals? A wardrobe top stacked high and my pedal board? Top line holy grail stinky poo, “a collection” am I Satisfied? NOPE! like that Colombian marching powder once you start you just got to have more!!

    You deserve some new strings for sure after attending a kids birthday party, in fact if you spend more than an hour there you might need to treat yourself to a new bass to go with them for services rendered!!

    Just a thought, others with more knowledge might know better. as your replacing the pre completely it might be the opportune time to get a Hazlab if you can, I know bass direct sell them. please weigh in those that have them

    Go nuts, I play Bag End Cabs and they don’t make dedicated bass or guitar amps. I’ve put Ampeg, Mesa boogie and now having moved to a preamp/Power amp set up, all manner of makes and brands through them. You can choose cabs for their sterile clarity or because you feel they give you the right ‘colour’ as long as the technical setup is correct your good to go.

    I bought one of these earlier in the year to try a Jazz bass for the first time. lovely and easy to play with a real rich vintage sound from the flats on mine. I was pleasantly surprised by it. GLWTS
