If it doesn't need to be Precision bass shaped I'd toss Yamamahaha into the ring, their BB424 does a great P sound and more, of course, with the J. Also a Westone Thunder 1 - one of the early ones with the split humbucker.
Well, to misquote Benjamin Franklin: there's nothing more certain on Basschat - as in Life - than bad puns and Taxus.
A little botanical humour there. Well, almost.
My blues rock band are adding the Rory Gallagher song 'Secret Agent' to our set as it was suggested by a chap who comes to most of our gigs. Very straightforward - to the point that the changes will trip me up! Great tune though, not one I had heard before.
I don't want to seem contrary but if the Bronco were properly set up - neck relief, saddle height, neck angle are set properly and the frets levelled - you wouldn't get fret buzz. Nowt to do with body shape and/or neck dimensions.
Posted this pic elsewhere but the addition of this Entwistle pup into this Hondo Alien has transformed it. Shortscale, headless and 2 octave neck - designed to play mind games!
Strangely enough there were 3 of us coppers who had ME at the same time. One died, one is still badly afflicted and it pretty much dominates her life. I was the lucky one. I can't get those years back but, on the plus side, I have a very different outlook on life now.
Your doctors name wasn't Smith from East Tilbury, by chance?
I think 'Silver Series' were identified by having 'Silver Series' written on the headstock - the silver logo was common to others. I've had a couple and they were nice. One, a Precision, was outstanding - 'the one that got away'.
Luvverly. Actually I got one of these recently and it sounds pretty much the same as the Luvverly Longhorn but in a different shaped package. Still Short scale, still weighs as much a a fag packet.
The funniest thing about that is I know what I look like, so can imagine quite clearly what it would be like to open a door and find me dressed in just a pair of cowboy boots and a Stetson.😂
In fact, I used to go line dancing, do own a pair of cowboy boots and a hat so could dust it all off and give it a test run...
... on seconds thoughts, maybe not.
It is surprising the number of plants grown in our gardens that are pretty toxic. Our native Foxglove for one - controlled dosage has been used to treat heart problems for donkeys years but all parts could be toxic if you aren't careful - get a lungful of the dust-like seed and you could have a heart attack. Increasingly common in garden centres is Oleander which is seriously poisonous.
Here's an odd one that is a bit like a cross between ZZ Top and Michael Jackson. Great song to just get into the groove or play around with. If anyone knows of a better quality recording let me know!
Can only report back as I have found. I've used Eurosender 4 times for basses - twice within UK twice outside. Once for plants to Eire. Each time the quote was very reasonable - in the case of sending an expensive-ish bass outside the UK it was half the price of anyone else fully insured! DPD held up their end nicely and collected when they were supposed to.
