I had a BB425 and a BB5000. Stock, both were way too heavy for me. I stuck lightweight tuners on the 5000 but didn't compromise it otherwise - had to move it on. The BB425 as well as lightweight tuners I removed the J pup to lighten it but it was still too heavy!
Do you still have the 735a? If so are you able to weigh it, please? I am curious!
I'd say that for this little set up it is extremely important. Not the cheapest option but I have a BF One10 for this very scenario - home practice, small gigs and now have a TE Elf for the amp. I previously used a Tecamp Puma 300 but liked it so much I traded it up for a 500 so I can gig with it on occasion.
I have a black one of these and it looks cool as anything. But, boy, is it heavy! And it needs securing in some fashion otherwise it'll drag any lightweight head off the cab in no time.
Blues rock, largely - trawling the vaults for suitable material for my blues band. Specifically, this last week or so being confined to barracks with shingles, Johnny Winter. I never really listened to much of his output back in the day and am currently enjoying catch-up.
This is about to enter our set
Would this not be in breach of your injunction? 😁
Pretty happy with my team at the moment.
Maruszczyk Jake covers 5 string Bon Jovi tribute needs, with a modded Sterling 5 as back up.
Gibson Les Paul Jnr DC covers my blues band requirements, with Aria Pro II CSB 'Black n Gold' as back up as they sound 'similar'.
Then on the bench I have my Squier JV Precision ('cos that ain't going nowhere), a Squier VM Mustang, my Frankenstein Honcore (my go-to for practice at the moment) and a newly acquired Hofner Ignition Club intended for those really bad back days.
Stagg EUB and electro-acoustic are semi-retired but on a retainer in case I ever need them.
You can buy larger silica gel packs from Halford or similar that are used to prevent windscreen misting up in old cars. One of those would have a greater effect than the little sachets. I had one in a leaky old Skoda that absolutely did the trick, there was a colour indicator on it so you knew when to dry it out again.
I had one of the G3s for a little while but couldn't get used to the body shape. Very thin but very broad - seemed like I was wrestling with an occasional table. Played beautifully, though.
I just Googled 'leather guitar strap buckle adjustment' and got this:
