  1. Southend pier wins, natch. It's the longest. Probably been burnt down and/or smashed into more often, too.
  2. One sold pending collection, one left at £400 collected.
  3. Wilkinson stuff is pretty good value for money.
  4. You are saying we are all bats, I think.
  5. Nice to play, too - interesting bassline - I did that in a band for a couple of years.
  6. I'd also add old Peavey stuff into the ring - I recently got a T-Max 2x10 combo for £100 to leave at my band's rehearsal space.
  7. Stretch and 'Why Did You Do It'. They released a couple of albums with some very good songs on them, but no more singles.
  8. I wondered why I have to keep pulling them up!
  9. Happy to sell separately, £450 each, just that selling both was discounted
  10. You've had a mo or two Still curious as to the weight.
  11. Thats the way I regard things. I admire achievement and ability but am never envious of it - in a world full of people who have achieved more and with greater ability my life would filled with envy and negativity 😂.
  12. True. Well, the passive BB5000. Unsurprisingly, I wish I hadn't sold it.
  13. Can't afford that posh stuff you get, mate. Even secondhand. 😁
  14. If you are feeling guilty, Baz, I can send you my bank details...
  15. I've used them a few times and found them fine. Sometimes their prices are crazy cheap, too, so if I am on the hunt for something they are one of my first ports of call.
  16. Lovely. I've had a few and loved them all - the BB425 was just unbelievable for the price. Just too bloody heavy.
  17. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder - I think these are gorgeous and absolutely love the offset body and headstock. For me they add a different flavour to the usual symmetrical double cutaway hollow bodies. If Squier do throw a model into the ring I'll be having a close look and listen.
  18. The merest of stutters. That Precision sounded lush.
  19. Maybe the 5er tips it over to being heavy with the wider neck and extra hardware? That said I've had 3x B2As, a B2B and a B2V over the years (kept selling them and buying again, what a prat ) and the difference in weight between them was staggering. One of the B2As weighed nearly 9lbs, the lightest only 7lbs.
  20. It was, enjoyed it immensely. Have to say the Bon Jovi and Queen sets were spot on. Well done you lot!
  21. As I recall they just dropped straight it.
  22. I am a dyed in the wool Barefaced fanboi. I started off with a Compact soon after Alex started and added a Midget a short while later. I replaced these with a Supercompact as a one cab solution, which it was, then immediately bought a second because, well, just because Then a little while ago I bought a One10 and really liked the way the sound was slightly coloured as opposed to the hifi of the Supercompact. So I took the plunge and bought a Two10 which arrived just yesterday. Mrs S is out so I gave it a full work out this morning, A/B with a Supercompact, also making it a Three10 with the One10 and I have to confess I am totally smitten😍 So here are my brace of Supercompacts up for sale. Both are around 4 years old and in pretty much exactly the same condition, which is used but not abused. The chrome corners show some scuffs - these might even polish out, I haven't tried. Both had very tiny marks on the front leading edge that I touched in with nail varnish - no distortion of the wood so these are now invisible. Both have very small patches of rubber adhering to them - one on the side, one on the top - from a non-slip mat I placed on them to stop the amp going walkabout. Both work as they should. They come with the fitted Roqsolid covers (not the padded jobs though). In one of them the driver failed and Alex sent me out a replacement that I had fitted locally by a tech but in all the excitement I cannot for the life of me recall which one! That said I used them in rotation so both have had use, just that one driver is older than the other. I have never needed to use both as far as volume/headroom are concerned because one of them on its own is loud enough to take you beyond the volume needed for those gigs where the bass goes through the pa. Although occasionally I have just for the hell of it. Here is a link to the Barefaced website for all the technical guff you need. I am asking £450 each or £850 the pair, collected from Benfleet, meet half-way or I could, depending upon where, possibly deliver for fuel cost. One now remaining and I will take £400 cash on collection or bank transfer ahead of time. No couriers. I have an embarrassment of feedback, linked in my signature
  23. Go on then... Is it any good for metal?
  24. All it takes is a little self restraint. Read my 9 pages of feedback and see!
