  1. Certainly looks that way. I'll keep my eyes peeled for USA ones or Squiers and decide at the time how much I want to spend. Ta.
  2. Hmm, no-one? Anyone owned an American Black/black/maple one?
  3. I don't suppose he did a lot of string bending. I am by no means an aficionado but surf music is something of a guilty pleasure - he was a pretty cool guy. RIP.
  4. The hat. I need to know where they sell those hats. So I can void going in.
  5. It even has the speakon and jack inputs labelled in case anyone gets confused!
  6. Beat me to it. Or is that a bad choice of expression?
  7. Indeed. I am a hard bitten, cynical ex-copper and at times had a lump in my throat as I watched these people recounting how their lives and the lives of their families had been manipulated and destroyed.
  8. We always call him the 'Fab One' in my household. Not that we speak about him much. I've never enjoyed much of his output and I think he is a prize tool. Nevertheless his basslines weave through the songs so melodically and become such an integral part of them that it is hard not to respect the musicality. I would have said 'impossible' but clearly that isn't the case.
  9. Any chance you might be able to take a pic of the business end of things? I really like this idea. Saves the whole floor space footprint problems and always faces the front!
  10. I've not been able to hear that high for a decade or more so a SC is fine and dandy for me
  11. 'Need' is such a silly word, I find. 'Want' is much better. I hadn't thought of trades but is Mrs itsmedunc any good for metal? Has she got a thin neck?
  12. I'd be interested to hear if there is anyone who HAS seen the new documentary and feels the allegations have been made up. A lot of people who haven't watched it are quick to dismiss it, it seems.
  13. Seems that 'mojo' is to bass what 'heft' is to amps - it means different things to different people or indeed to the same person depending upon context. With reference to a bass I've always taken mojo to mean wear and tear picked up by a bass during its life. But when talking about Life in general it is some sort of vitality.
  14. If it had a 50s style pickup I would be very interested....
  15. All things considered I think the lime green refin is the final indignity.
  16. I do have a static pedal board, albeit very rudimentary, and so opted for the WL-50. Good bit of kit, replacing my Line 6 G50. Nowt wrong with the G50, worked brilliantly for a few years, never let me down except for when I didn't change the batteries... so the rechargeable transmitter battery is an elegant solution. The board end of things is much more compact than the Line 6, too.
  17. Personally I'd say flashing your willy to an audience is a rather different kettle of fish to persuading a 7 yr old boy to take it in his mouth. Some lines are easily drawn.
  18. Mark bought my no-longer-needed tuner. Couldn't have been a more straightforward transaction. A pleasure doing business!
  19. Yes. I stupidly sold it, wish I hadn't.
