1.
A Yamaha BB 415 or 425. In black. I'd like to A/B it with the Peavey Foundation 5er I currently have as a back up bass and have a feeling I would prefer it. Nothing stopping me buying one, I suppose!
Just had a quick search and found a BB425 in black for sale - new incl. delivery - for £315 here: http://www.musik-produktiv.co.uk/yamaha-bb425-bl.html It would have been impolite not to, frankly.

3. Well, if it doesn't I can always use it as a key fob
4. Indeed it has arrived as promised and in one piece. One very, very small piece. Plugged into Barefaced 110 at home and - yum yum! - it is everything you said. I have a gig Friday night so will use it then with my BF Supercompact.
5. And another - Washburn Scavenger, 3 days to go no bids, starting at £150. Pickup only Holloway Road, London. 6. Yes, it was the Sterling Andy and - yes, wow, it does sound great! That was the P pickup, just rolled back a touch. Gigged with it twice since picking it up last week and I really couldn't be happier.
7. A camera video of 'Bed of Roses' from my new band 'Just Jovi's first gig the other night. Sound is a bit harsh but you get the idea! https://www.facebook.com/739111803/videos/10154730018291804/
8. Does it for me - here's mine! 8lbs of JV Although now sporting a Schaller 3D bridge.
9. I always liked Bing, myself. That laid back, cheek puffing style of his was a winner.
10. Small numbers of punters doesn't necessarily mean a bad gig. One of my bands routinely plays a microscopic venue (The Miley, in Rochford, if anyone local to Southend knows it). The place is rammed if more than 20 people turn up, but the owners love putting on music and have invested heavily into it. I reckon 20% of the floor space is the stage area and they have just built a decent sized outdoor stage for summer. The punters go there expecting there to be bands and are always hugely appreciative. Pay is no less than anywhere else we play.
11. Yes, £620 incl. delivery. My end of the deal was quite easy - hopefully it will turn up as promised and in one piece!
12.
Congratulations . I don't feel so lonely on here now.
Similar thing for me - my aim is to use the amp with a Barefaced 110 for rehearsals with my quieter band and a Barefaced Supercompact with my louder band. Save lugging my Trace Elliot head around apart from gigs. Or, indeed, if it works out, I might use it for gigs. We'll see.
13. Just bought one. Seems to tick all my boxes - lightweight, tiny footprint, loud, great tone - for a back up to my main amp head and for rehearsals. Everything else in the class D amps I have tried so far has disappointed one way or another. Look forward to it arriving this week!
14. Thanks for the tip! Still smiling
15. Just to top this off - I picked up the bass on Wednesday and it looks amazing - just like it had come out of the factory. Cosmetically perfect. Used it a last night's gig and the sound has blown me away! The Aguilar P pickup is also perfect - mellow and old school exactly as I had hoped. Interestingly (or maybe not? I don't know enough) the MM pickup has been tamed by making it passive - nowhere near as aggressive as it is with the preamp driving it along and thus, for me, more useable. The blend will get some welly, too - it adds a bit of bite to the P in a very interesting and useable way. Different to a PJ, as you would expect. I really couldn't be happier.
16. Small job by Andy's standards but one he embraced wholeheartedly - he added an Aguilar P pickup into my Musicman Sterling 5 string, doing the necessary routing, making a pickguard from scratch to accommodate it and replaced all the wiring to make it passive. Cosmetically the job is perfect - looks like it was out of the factory like it. Sounds fantastic, too. Not to mention a 2 hr each way drive for the meet up. And he is such a gentleman to deal with!
17. Thanks Warren!
18. I've added this weekend's gigs to the post
19. My regular band Illegal Tender are at The Miley in Rochford on Friday 18th. Brand new first gig for fresh out of the box tribute band 'Just Jovi' on Saturday 19th at Mill Hall, Rayleigh.
20. I have just had Andy fit a reverse P pickup into my MM Sterling 5er - build diary here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/294193-paul-ss-sterling-5/ . I am collecting it on Wednesday and am pretty excited by the prospect I must say. Gigs Friday and Saturday to give it the full road test!
21. I can hardly wait! Yet another lovely job, sir.
22. Fingers crossed the WiFi holds up... Neck vol, tone, Bridge vol, tone please! Really chuffed with how it looks, too, as I feared the p pup might look a bit clumsy - it doesn't at all.
23. Through the marvels of modern technology I have just looked at this from my room in Mexico. Cracking job Andy. The wiring configuration you have settled on sounds more intuitive than the middle blend thing. Looking forward to my next WiFi opportunity!
24. Lookin' sexy!
25. I can almost hear it! Lovely.
