1. Reminds me of this http://youtu.be/50A9wjJ40Dk
2. I'll have the Levi pouch, please - might work out better than my back pocket. PM incoming.
3. There was a single bid on it for a day or so but that must have been retracted. I can just see that sitting in my bass rack... along with too many others, sadly.
4. Thank you. Too wide, thankfully. Once again, another sleepless night avoided It is a stunningly good looking bass - black, black and maple are my favourite combo and there's something rather nice going on in the neck grain, too. This should go really quickly.
5. Gorgeous. My inevitable question is - how wide is the neck at the nut, please?
6. Sonic blue for me. I just acquired a bass in sonic blue and it is cool as anything.
7. Graham and Truckstop - muchas gracias! I see a few hours on headphones coming up over the holidays!
8. Mail order cakes for xmas - Yule log in post. Or has that been done?
9. That neck dive would take more than a wide strap to cure.
10. anyone remember this? http://youtu.be/sBmYkXVteaU
11. I was expecting a link to this listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Low-Rider-Shred-neck-Bass-guitar-practice-tool-/252224462584?hash=item3ab9bfdef8:g:ap8AAOSw~otWe~Wj Although I think less is less in this case.
12. I have to admit I have never really got a grip on all the various sub-genres of Heavy Metal music. Then again, I did kind of stop listening to it all after Black Sabbath. Could someone (or some people?) please list all the various types, describe what makes them distinct and - ideally - link to an example? Obrigado
13. Back to the OP, I am guessing that if you fitted a 34" scale neck to a 30" scale bass body, even if there was enough room to move the bridge backwards to make it intonate correctly it would presumably neck dive like crazy?
14.
I didn't know of her existence, actually - I merely Googled 'Loggins' and 'Bikini', hoping to see a picture of Kenny Loggins in a bikini. The fishing angle is just a bonus, obviously...
Kenny Loggins in a bikini. Of course.
15.
Actually this thread is making me go all misty-eyed...
I find it slightly discomforting that you knew of the existence of Ms Loggins And although educated at a 'boys only' school I've never heard of the euphemism 'tie one one' before, either.
16. A perceived issue with short scale basses is that the larger gentleman feels they look like toys. I wouldn't consider myself small but am quite comfortable using my Dano Longhorn or my new old Squier Musicmaster Vista.
17. I have never used a Sansamp so couldn't say. However - bumping for a possible trade - I'd take a telecaster guitar in PX with a varying amount cash my way, depending upon which telecaster it is.
18. So I'd heard. Mine was around 9.5lbs, not overly heavy but too heavy for me. Now the Shergold I had was light as a feather - 7.5lbs.... Anyway, no more pictures, please....
19.
Ooh, why not? Just out of interest.
A few things, really - always either a bit or a lot too heavy, neck is too wide, 34" scale length - I am enjoying 32" at the moment (ooh matron etc). And I seem to be leaning more and more to single pickup basses. But they look so damned pretty...
20. Sigh. That is gorgeous. I always feel a pull towards these. My first 'proper' bass was a Hayman 4040 and it was probably my first real love - but I know I don't get on with them.
