  1. Had a gig last night and gave 'Psycho Killer' an airing for the first time. Really went down well. Or maybe it was just because it was in Bishop Stortford, I don't know...
  2. Sold my Peavey Fury bass to Paddy in the most straightforward of transactions. A pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Enjoy the bass, Paddy!
  3. And me. Coolest EUB I have seen.
  4. Bought a Switchblade + from Jon in the easiest of transactions. Good and speedy comms, quickly dispatched, arrived well packed. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again - cheers Jon!
  5. Trade for a Barefaced Supercompact? Or an Orange TB 1000 or GK MB Fushion 800 Or nice pair of LED bars on stands. all with cash adjustments if necessary ... Funny old world. A Fender Precision of this vintage would fetch double this, yet they were a similar price when new and, IMO, this is better built
  6. My band Illegal Tender has a lot of odd stuff included in the set list. The one that *never* fails to get people dancing/clapping etc is Steve Earle's 'Copperhead Road'. A country classic that I would think 99% of punters would have never heard before. Very strange.
  7. Yes please. PM'd
  8. Didn't have long to wait, either.... bought another bass from Benedict - this time a Fender Aerodyne 32" scale Jazz. If ever anyone wanted to know how to pack a bass for transportation, ask Benedict. Bass>soft bag>bubblewrap>gig bag>bubblewrap>box>bubblewrap>bigger box>more bubblewrap. Great guy to deal with, too. Oh yes, almost forgot, the bass is remarkable. Thanks Benedict!
  9. Bought a Pedaltrain Volto from Simon in the easiest of transactions. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again!
  10. I'd enjoy that set. I'd rather be amongst a bunch of harmless and largely sober middle aged folk dressed as cowboys than a bunch of drunken chavs any day of the week.

  12. Yes, please. Seems like a good idea. PM incoming.
  13. I bought a 32" scale Westone Concord on here for £85 and I reckon it must be worth at least double that Seriously, it is a very, very good bass for the money. Sounds awesome and the neck is very nice to play with a decent tiger stripe figuring to boot.
  14. Other trades considered - wotcha got? I'd add cash to this for an Orange Terror Bass 1000, for example. Or GK MB Fusion 800.
  15. Interested in a trade for an Orange Terror Bass 1000 and a little cash or a GK MB Fusion 800.
  16. I went through a phase of fitting them to all my basses and found, when they worked well, they were very useful. But I also found they rarely stayed consistent and I was having to fine tune manually, which kind of defeated the object. I fitted them always as per video on the Hipshot site. How do people get them to stay consistently de-tuned?
  17. Bought some strings from Martyn, good price, arrived before I knew it. Top fella.

Marinus bought my Fender Jazz Bass Special in a totally smooth and easy transaction. Great comms, instant payment, nice friendly guy to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate dealing with him again.
  19. Wonderful picture!!
  20. I have a Fender Precision Lyte, which is a P/J. The P isn't quite a vintage P tone, nor the J a vintage J tone - the blend is a bit burpy but not classic J blend. So a bit of everything but mainly its own self. Which is actually very nice. I particularly like the blended tone, has some definite character.
