Anyone know or recommend a source for round business cards, printed both sides? Band name is Illegal Tender and the logo is a coin, so I thought it might be cool to have circular coin business cards. [attachment=166012:Capture.JPG]

Everyone carries an idea in their head of what their perfect bass sounds like, I suppose. For me, my ideal is the perfect Precision and in recent years I've spent a small fortune buying, selling, trying out most conceivable combinations. A casual glance at my feedback tells the story! I have been gradually assembling a bitsa which, until last night, was my go-to bass as it is the closest thing to my perfect bass. MIJ lightweight body, Mighty Mite Jazz neck, Wizard Trad pickup, P-retro, Hipshot A style bridge, La Bella flats. A week or so back I bought on here an '84 MIJ Squier medium scale Precision. White faded to cream, white plate, Jazz width neck, rosewood board, ridiculously light. A previous owner had installed Fender original pickups and it was strung with La Bella flats. Using at home I found it hard to put down. Used at rehearsal last night - it is *the one*. Just perfect. Light and comfortable, I really love the medium scale, the sound is *exactly* the tone I have in my head. Unusually, everyone else in the band commented on the sound. 'Of all the basses you have played this is the nicest' Thought I'd share the joy. Obviously it is horses for courses as this has done the Basschat rounds a bit but, for me, it is my perfect bass. [size=2](I'll probably keep the others, though)[/size]

I spent a lot of time looking for my perfect Jazz bass but, in the end, decided my Precision Lyte did the job for me. P/J pups, stupidly light (7.5lbs) shallow Jazz width neck, active eq. P pickup isolated sounds a lot darker than a Jazz neck pickup, nearer to (but not exactly like) a Precision. J pickup at bridge isolated sounds (to me) like a Jazz bridge pup. Both blended sound near enough to that same sweet burpy blended Jazz tone but a bit darker. Icing on cake for me was fitting a U Retro.

I played it in an 80s band I was in. I quite like the groove of it and found it extremely enjoyable to play, especially on a fretless.

Yes, no harm in spreading a little JV0 lurve about. I think mine is a whisker lighter, pretty much dead on 9lbs. There is something about the tone that is just rather special - sort of creamy and woody, not hard and woody. Creamy wood? And the way it all fits together - so simple yet perfect. You'd sort of expect them to be rather similar - both being the '57 re-issue model, both at the higher end of the scale. I was just wondering if anyone had played or owned both and was able to make a stronger comparison. Whether the Fullerton one was worth the extra they seem to command and, if so, why? Or if it is the headstock thing again.

No-one want to give an opinion? That's unusual.

Hi James Thanks for that, interesting to note how you compared the two. I am fortunate enough to own an '82 Fender logo JV Squier '57 re-issue which I absolutely adore so I know exactly how you feel about yours. I suppose my main query would be, other than one was made in Japan and one in Fullerton, what would be the main differences eg in components etc.

I was reading the couple of threads in the classifieds here about the 80s Fender Precision Fullerton '57 re-issue, and how they were a bit special. I wondered how they compared and in what way they differed from the JV0 Squier Precision '57 re-issue, which are also considered to be a bit special. Where they were made, of course, but beyond that? Ta!

Maybe they popped out a special one 9 years after production stopped? Sold a bitsa Thunder Jet Ray bass to Alan. Immediate payment, good comms throughout. Unfortunately the bass was slightly damaged in transit but Alan was really good about it and we have reached a mutually satisfactory conclusion to the deal. Hope you enjoy the bass

I sold an SGC Nanyo Bass Collection SB315 to Olivier. He is a great guy to deal with - speed of light payment, very friendly, great comms. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.

Next feedback in line - Kris sold me the bass he bought from tedmanzie above! Smooth and business like transaction, good comms, beautifully packed, promptly dispatched. Bass is delightful, couldn't be more pleased!
