  1. reminds me of the old joke: Psychiatrist 'Vot zeems to be zee problem?'. man 'I just LOVE cream buns' Psychiatrist: 'Vell, I see nosink wrong vis zat, I rather like zem myzelve' Man 'Really - you too? Aren't they just so damned sexy!'
  2. Its the way they roll about so.... effortlessly!
  3. See, I find her as sexy as a ball bearing.
  4. Can only comment about the DC. No neck dive, already has lightweight tuners. Fit and finish fantastic. Lightweight, nice and comfy. I also fitted a Supertone bridge. The 3 point works ok but I didn't find it comfortable when palm muting. Pickup up a little further down gives perhaps a bit more bite. Here is a clip of mine in action, through the pa via a fab Ampeg rig, to give an idea of what it sounds like

  6. Just to clarify, pickups and bridges count or don't count?
  7. Sold a set of strings to Danny in the simplest of transactions! Cheers!!
  8. Back In The USSR, some 4 piece beat combo or other.
  9. Thanks Mick. About 1kg too heavy. I know your advice is well meant, and thank you for it. But there are many folks on here - me included - that simply can't wear a bass that heavy for very long and for various reasons. I am as fit as I can be with a prolapsed disc and a good wide strap can only go so far. Before anyone suggests it, I have a Duo strap and that does work to an extent but has limitations. If the weight of a bass is never a problem it is difficult to see or understand why it suddenly becomes one but the bottom line is that with certain medical conditions the only answer is to choose a lightweight bass. Once the world of back issues has been entered all manner of everyday things are suddenly no longer straightforward - cutting toenails, putting on socks, tying shoelaces etc etc Lightweight 5ers do exist, though. I have a Maruszyzck Jake 5 that weighs 8lbs, lovely thing, I sometimes wonder about replacing it to release some funds. But the balance of weight and quality is tricky. If an 8lb Yamaha BB425 comes along, I'll be making some decisions
  10. Jez bought some tuners from me in the simplest and easiest of transactions. Nice friendly chap, great comms. Top bloke!
  11. Sold Stew an AB/Y pedal. Has to be the simplest and most straightforward deal I have ever done here Thanks Stew, you're a gent and no mistaking.
  12. Should find out soon enough, Ben.
  13. Does anyone have one of these could give a quick overview? Mainly - how much do they weigh? I see on the specs they are basswood. Online reviews seem very positive - as far as it is possible to tell from those. Muchas gracias
  14. I've highlighted the bit. This what what they wrote in an email dated 12/1.
  15. Pedaltrain Mini. It is too big but I already had it I think a Pedaltrain nano would be a better fit.
  16. Ped, I booked Eurosender a week ago for DPD to ship Essex > Scotland but when the time came it was cancelled as DPD couldn't work with Eurosender due to their main office being in Luxemburg. I don't know how it would work UK > EU or reverse but certainly UK > UK was a no-go now.
  17. Yup. Loading my car is like a Rubik cube.
  18. Actually the point of the thread was stuff being sent UK > EU. ,not t'other way around. That has already been discussed ad infinitum.
  19. I'd never have worked it out. I don't know my @rse from my L-bow.
  20. I didn't put that, perhaps it would have been an idea. I put a value just because, worst case scenario it gets lost or destroyed, I can claim on some insurance
  21. This morning I sent a couple of small packages to France. 1st class but not tracked or signed for. Filled out a small customs declaration, that was it at this end. Be interesting to see what happens at the other end.
