  1. I think we can cross Eurosender off the list at the moment. I was expecting a pickup from DPD yesterday arranged via Eurosender last week - a no show. I got an email today saying that DPD were no longer able to work with a non-UK company. No idea of the small print here but basically I need to rebook with someone else and will get refunded by Eurosender. Edit - just seen the link in the post above, might have explained it better. Edit again. Should say this was for UK>UK but booked via Eurosender. So not even crossing any borders.
  2. Yup. I'd also be looking closely the Squier Matt Freeman sig if my P bass cup was not already overflowing.
  3. I wouldn't discount a JV Squier, either. I've had two, both were excellent. One - I still have it - is the best Precision bass I have handled. I read that some aren't so good, mind, so there are never guarantees. But I honestly think at any price point you can find a Precision type bass that looks, plays and sounds fantastic.
  4. it is indeed a right load of Jackson.

    Dink?

Dink? Mosht kind of you, shir. Minesh double campari and shoda.
  6. That works OK if all your basses are same size and shape but mine are all over the place. Plus I have wider straps for heavier basses, a couple of basses don't have space for a normal strap so I need one with a narrow 'belt' type thing. Etc. Plenty of reasons. Plus some are nicer than others
  7. Sorry, could you repeat that, please. I'm rather hard of herring.
  8. I found this band, Harts, by accident when looking for covers of Foxy Lady. An unfeasibly talented Australian guitar player who, in other links, plays bass, drums, keys, does his own production etc etc. Spent most of today listening to his stuff. Bit Hendrix-y, bit Prince-y, but also just Harts-y. Don't think a Squier Strat has ever sounded so cool
  9. Look, just stop it, OK.
  10. You certainly have a great eye for design. The recessed edge at the back is a nice touch. I really like this!
  11. This. Except I keep forgetting the discount! 🤪
  12. You aren't helping my seller's remorse one bit. Yes, if Klingons played bass...
  13. I had a BX-5 for a while. Bloomin' luvverly it was. Should never have sold it.
  14. I think this is probably quite nice? Not for me, otherwise I'd have kept quiet Not all original by the look of it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CIMAR-BASS-GUITAR-made-in-JAPAN/293948111015?hash=item4470ac38a7%3Ag%3A6aoAAOSwt35f-ceK&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  15. Have to say if I see a bass for sale that I am interested in the question in my mind is 'do I want to pay the asking price?' not 'How much did the seller buy if for?' So far as I can see, that is irrelevant.
  16. One of the few comments I got after a gig was some drunk guy came up and said 'hey man, great moustache'.
  17. Call Me, Go West
  18. Giddy Up a Ding Dong, SAHB
  19. Well, it is after xmas now and usually there is just the leg left.
  20. God Lord I had forgotten this. My sister bought the album and played it to death. And, earlier Mas Que Nada.
  21. Small town boy, Bronski Beat
  22. I was briefly in a band with a guitarist who had been in a local band called 'The Business' that were reasonably high profile at the time. They had twin guitars. He said one day he was shopping when someone came up to him and said 'Are you in the band The Business?' he started to preen himself and confirmed he was. 'Your guitarist is great, isn't he!'
  23. I am finding this absolutely fascinating! So many different styles. So many I have never heard before. Or want to hear again! 😂 Here is another that hasn't popped up featuring, again, our very own @neilmurraybass
  24. How do you actually fit in here without knocking everything over, Russ? You aren't a small chap.
