I was just about to post 'in that case, Steely dan... -
Love the tone in this. Yamaha miming in the video, certainly sounds like it could be.

Can you feel it, The Jacksons.

I could mention lots as it is that very thing that I like about a band. But possibly a stand out for me would be Faith No More. I can't say I particularly like them, never really listened to their output much other than to think 'meh' and move on. But they were one of the bands in a all day job at Hyde park a few years ago, Black Sabbath were headlining. God, 2014, just looked it up! How did that happen?! Anyway, also Motorhead, Soundgarden, couple of others. Faith No More came on and I reckon it was one of the best live performances I have seen from a band. Tight, edgy. Delivered with venom and passion. Absolutely fabulous - I was spellbound. Just reformed or something? Not sure on that. Black Sabbath were pretty amazing, too. Motorhead were terrible, poor old Lemmy was a sad sight. -
You weren't implying it. You said it quite plainly, spell-check notwithstanding. In the third person, as well! 🤣 Bilbo was provided with an ‘isolated bass’ version of the tune after his was three quarters of the way through the transcription and, on listening to the exposed bass parts, realised that the bits he was struggling to hear were actually ‘clinkers’, minor errors that don’t cause the momentum of the part to collapse and are left in simply becasue the overall feel of the performance is worth the conmpromise.

Lets face it, there are some folks on here that, were they to receive a cheque for a million pounds from Alex, would complain about the signature. 😁 Such is the nature of the internet.

It is my pleasure to tart off a feedback thread for tachycardia aka Paul. I sold him my Danelectro '56 bass in the most pleasant of transactions, great comms, really friendly chap An absolute pleasure doing business. He also now has the largest bass hard case in the known universe to dispose of!

I'm wondering what hard cases folks are using for this shape of bass. I know there is a specific Epiphone fitted case that will take both long and short scale SG types, but curious what else people are using. Especially if they are cheaper than the Epiphone one, which you can get for around £80. Trying to find something that is fitted, preferably, and reasonably snug on the body. For example, it looks like a semi-hollow guitar case for a 335 or similar would fit - in length for sure, maybe a bit of surplus around the body. But a Les Paul fitted case doesn't (yet it fits the LP Junior DC RI like a glove. Weird) What does anyone use?

I am fiercely loyal as a customer. If I get a good deal and service from someone I will absolutely use them next time. Unless someone else is cheaper. One thing G4M does is a loyalty discount, which sometimes works out well. At one point I had a platinum discount available to me and it coincided with my wanting to buy one of those 'horrific' Gibson LP Jnr DC RI and saved me a decent wodge of cash.

Who makes raw bass cabinets to order?

That's probably where I've been going wrong in the past. I've always used my hands. ☺️ That said, any woodwork project of mine always turns out like I made it with my feet. -
What's the best way of rehearsing remotely / online?

Glad you were there to bail me out! Did you manage to achieve anything in the end? I spent about an hour deleting/adding, rebooting, uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail. Talk about frustrating. At one point early on I joined the session ok and my mic was working but not the bass! Then after about a minute it all crashed again. Just going to try again from scratch today - uninstall the app, uninstall the Behringer driver then build it again. But, as you say Warren, is it actually worth paying out? Especially if it is unreliable. I can get plenty of IT frustration for nothing when other stuff goes wrong The rest of the guys are all in multiple bands that all use it and so for them it would be very cost effective, whereas for me it is just for this band. By the time we get gigs in the diary we will most likely be able to rehearse properly. Then again I don't want to feel left out which is a pretty big reason for getting it. I don't know, really. -

Kind of beefy in a twangy kind of way. Hope that helps. Not really Fendery but still old school somehow - more J than P but without the burpiness. Hard to describe. This guy uses one a lot and captures the tone, with a little more processing than I use.

I'm still hopelessly in love with the one I bought recently. Be interesting to see what this one fetches.

Well, she flatly refused to get her hands on my Dano - one reason I'm selling it.

Nope. Flu deaths are around 1/4 to 1/2 of Covid, depending upon whose figures to look at. And that is without the measures that have been taken with Covid taken into consideration.

Look. Just stop it. Stop it now. You're giving me GAS something rotten. 😁
