  1. No need to swap these out.. they’re excellent.. 👍🏻
  2. Beautiful example of Mark’s work.. is it a P neck or J? And what’s the number on the headstock reverse please?
  3. No chance of me getting to Leicester sadly but this is a bargain.. GLWTS

  5. GLWTS wish I wasn’t so skint this month.
  6. Flabber completely ghasted… 😮
  7. A black pick guard on that and it would be as punkytastic as it gets.. shame I don’t have £500 at the moment.. GLWTS 👍🏻
  8. I have a number of relic’d limelight’s and none of them are glossy. They are all smooth and easy playing but far far from glossy. They just feel like worn smooth wood. I don’t have a modern Fender relic to offer a comparison for you but I can say that it’s very similar to the finish of my genuine ‘59 P bass although a very different profile of course. I can highly recommend Mark’s work.
  9. The roasted necks on these are so nice visually.. GLWTS
  10. Whereabouts in Kent are you?
  11. Just out of interest what would postage cost….??
  12. I have two with J width necks and one with a P width neck.. all P shaped bodies and pickups.. all made for me by Mark. The J necks are very close to a current US spec neck to my hands.. (I don’t own a current US spec J but have tried a few).. the relic process makes them feel very worn in and smooth.. the rolled edges really feel nice.. also the fretboard radius is very comfortable on mine, I don’t know what he uses, it’s more curved than my Stingray but not too much.. Just to throw a curve ball into your dilemma.. I favour the J necks and they are my main two basses BUT.. the P necked one sounds thicker and meatier.. they’re all Rosewood boards and they’re all P bodies with Mark’s standard hardware and pickups so the only difference is the neck mass.. so for a gig I’d favour the J necks.. but recording.. it’s the P neck.. Mark is a fantastic luthier to deal with.. super helpful and reliable.. I can’t recommend him more highly..
  13. Oh my goodly goodness…!
  14. More often seen with three single coils.. the original humbucker version much more classic IMHO.. glwts
  15. Love it with the black scratchplate on.. whereabouts are you in the UK?
  16. Ooh.. good job I don’t live in Yorkshire or my bank balance would be about to drop by £850!!
  17. Whereabouts in the south east are you please?
  18. I don’t suppose you are going to be listing any matching cabs? I already have a Bassman head… GLWTS
  19. I’m sure this would sell in minutes if you added postage?
  20. Bloody lovely bass.. wish I had £2500 right now.. it’ll only go up in value.. sadly I haven’t.. have a free bump.. GLWTS
  21. It’s a problem I appreciate that.. but with the cost of petrol now anyone more than 40-50 miles of you is going to be put off.. that’s a lot of buyers.. if you have a good relationship with your local guitar shop they may well have delivery boxes out back just waiting to go for cardboard recycling.. my local shop gets rid of loads every week.. for a small donation to their biscuit fund you might be in luck??
