  1. BTW, I found your bass' twin on Ebay (seller is in Japan). Looks like your asking price is very fair indeed 🙂 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395495357328?_skw=Fender+Japan+PJR-65&itmmeta=01JCXGGF15P6AHC9W2263S6DNZ&hash=item5c155c3b90:g:KzcAAOSwK3tme8y9&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8HoV
  2. I think yours is a PJR 65 - Jazz Bass Special. Here's one in black. Funnily, Danny also cannot decide whether the serial is a "C" or a "G" 🙂 Great sounding active bass (and Duff's is passive). GLWTS 👍
  3. Duff bought his in a Guitar Center in Hollywood in 87 (from his advance for Appetite) and it was a 86 model.
  4. Nice looking bass. However, Duff's model had a selector switch, black hardware, a black headstock and a black painted neck. His bass also came with a Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup (although, I am not sure it originally came with one, maybe he got it changed later).
  5. So sad to read about Dave's passing We had a lot of funny PM exchanges over the years. He was a great guy, my condolences to his family.
  6. Ok, I started at 11:11 and finish now at 22:22, which gave you 11:11 hrs time. Thanks for your interest.
  7. Good news: There is one on Reverb. From 85, 2EQ, and maple FB. Bad news: £2699
  8. That's fine. I like natural finishes on SRs too. I used to have a 2EQ in the natural finish with maple fingerboard and the Timmy C signature bass again in the natural finish, ebony fingerboard and black hardware. That one looked killer.
  9. No worries, if it does not sell today, it will pop up again at either BassBros or BassDirect in the not too distant future. It won't be for £1111 though 🙂
  10. Today is my birthday (round one) and to celebrate it, I am selling this lovely 2010 Ernie Ball Music Man 4H 2EQ bass in candy red for £1111. It is only available today! I bought it from BassBros earlier this year. I cleaned it thoroughly and touched up the little dings on the upper horn and near the bridge. See photos below. The bass is in great condition – comfortable neck, good balance, no fret buzz, and the tuners and knobs are sturdy and move smoothly. Everything feels like great quality. The bass weighs 4.4 kg and comes with the original EBMM gig bag. Speaking of costs, we all know how much new Stingrays go for nowadays (£3k!). BB had the bass for £1499 and recently sold the same model with a rosewood fretboard again for £1499. So, I think that £1111 is a great price. See it as my birthday gift to you 🎂 Collection would be recommended but I can also ship it (UK mainland only, sorry!) using a decent courier. Shipping would of course add some costs (approx. £30/40).

  12. Great stuff, who needs more than 2 strings? 😉
  13. Would be great to know what his views on social media are.
  14. One of my fav basslines to play, nice and melodic
  15. Last week, I started the "greatest bassline of 82" thread - https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/501289-greatest-bassline-of-1982/ It attracted some really good posts. Thanks for the great contributions 👍 Instead of starting the "greatest bassline of 83" thread, I decided to jump 10 years ahead and start the "greatest bassline of 92" thread instead. I was a kid in 82 and an adult in 92, so I came across more great songs and basslines in 92 than in 82. Here is my personal fav. For me, it is not only the greatest bassline of 92, but of the whole 90s, and, I know some/most of you will disagree, one of the greatest of all time. I am a huge AIC fanboy, so I am obviously biased 😉
  16. Definitely! If you do not have to sell it, then keep it. I am already missing my NS-4 (with solid quilted maple wings!) that I had to sell recently. Unfortunately, I had no choice 😞
  17. Cool, but maybe time to move on to 83? 🙂
  18. According to Wiki, it was written in 81 but released in 82: "Should I Stay or Should I Go" is a song by the English punk rock band the Clash from their fifth studio album Combat Rock, written in 1981 and featuring Mick Jones on lead vocals. It was released in 1982 as a double A-sided single alongside "Straight to Hell", performing modestly on global music charts. In the United States, "Should I Stay or Should I Go" charted on the Billboard Hot 100 without reaching the top 40. The song received greater attention nearly a decade later as the result of an early-1990s Levi's jeans commercial, leading to the song's 1991 re-release, which topped the UK Singles Chart and reached the top 10 in New Zealand and many European charts. The song was listed in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2004." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Should_I_Stay_or_Should_I_Go
