What does that mean? When I google for wicky/wiki wacker, it only shows me a cocktail and people wearing silly straw hats. The other hit I get is "The Wiki Wacker is a consumable item available from Luau Larry for 5 Red Beans. It temporarily increases attack damage. Also distorts screen and automatically induces dance emote when used while standing still." 🤪

Andy's shop has some really nice and tempting basses. They ain't cheap though. I like the very detailed and sometimes lengthy descriptions (inc. what is original, what has been replaced, weight and dates of pots, neck etc), which is crucial for buying expensive vintage basses. So, looks like a great store for buying vintage basses, but way above my pay grade 😉

I agree. If the seller is legit and has not done something silly to the bass in the short time they owned it, then this really is an amazing deal. Almost too good to be true (and if something sounds too good to be true, it normally is too good to be true).

That used to be mine. Got it in April 21 and sold it via BB this August. Home use only (at least when I owned it). I only sold it as I had some unexpected bills (roof and gutter repairs) and an expensive new remortgage deal. It's a 2021 Spector Forte in gloss black. It is one of the last Fortes before Spector stopped making them (of course they can be ordered now but as NS2s for much more money). It is also one of the very few ones they made in a gloss finish. £2000 is a great price. BB sold it for £2650. If my 74 Fender P sells, I may be tempted to buy it back myself!

Man, this bass has one of the best looking finishes I've seen in a very long time. Very tempting 😍 Quick question about the passive mode. As far as I understand it, by pulling one of the volume knobs, the corresponding pickup is soloed (i.e., the other is de-activated) and the bass becomes passive. By pulling both volume knobs, both pickups are engaged in passive mode. Does one of the bass/treble/mid EQ knobs then turn into a passive tone control? I could not find any info on that but it would make sense to have such a config. GLWTS 👍

Makes me want to get hold of the old Ian Hill signature bass (the PJ version) 🙂

Looks killer. Enjoy 👍

Just watched this interview with Doug Wimbish. Talking about his signature model, Doug mentioned "now we are looking at making some modifications and moving downfield with some other frequencies for this particular bass and other. Let's just say Doug Wimbish ideas...Should be cool". Let's see what they will come up with!

Man, I had the same problem with the 8s and Bs. Drove me effing nuts when I tried to register them. They really look almost the same. -

I got mine on Tuesday. Cost £12.95, sold by Amazon. Already used the code printed on the bag for the D'Addario Player's Circle account and it was accepted. Totally legit. -

Here is a nice looking second hand 2022 Gibson Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird for £1249. Not my bass and no affiliation with the shop. I just hope someone buys it before I get too tempted myself 😉 https://richtonemusic.co.uk/gibson-gene-simmons-g2-thunderbird-ebony-hard-case-2nd-hand/ -
This really is a lovely story. Congrats 👍 I just hope you won't sell it again. Yes, @AndyTravis, I am looking at you 😁

Even better value if you buy directly from BB, saves you another £100. Every little helps 😉 https://bassbros.co.uk/product/2004-ernie-ball-music-man-bongo-4hh-2/

Ernie Ball Music Man Retro ’70s StingRay Bass
Eldon Tyrell replied to stonevibe's topic in General Discussion
Maybe "broke" was a bit harsh but I am sure that most of us (including me) have less money available for bass related stuff, esp. if you are not a pro musician and just a hobbyist (like myself). Two years ago, I was able to afford a Timmy C, last year the Darkray, this year I would have loved to pull the trigger on the natural Retro Ray but just cannot afford it (landing cost: £3510.37!). Sad but true. However, I still have the EBMM Vault website open in a tab, just in case ; - ) -
