Congrats. Very nice indeed. Did you get one each for yourself?

Speaking of Rex Brown, check out these beauties. I am very tempted and have to ask my wife to hide my credit card 😉

They offered it in 2015 and I bought it NOS in 2017. Solid maple wings and Special Star(r) inlay at the 12th fret. Came with the Tonepump preamp but I got it replaced with the Haz 9V. It pretty much is my only not-to-be-sold bass. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2015/05/06/spector-introduces-limited-edition-mike-starr-signature-euro4lx-bass/

Looks what's coming to Leicestershire next week 🙂

The song that got me hooked 30 odd years ago. Needs to be played with this beauty 😉

... and what's worst is that PMT Manchester is not even in the city of Manchester but in the city of Salford. They even incorrectly list it on their website: "Store Address Red Rose Retail Centre, Regent Rd, Manchester, M5 3GR" Nope, it is SALFORD, which is one of the ten metropolitan boroughs that Greater Manchester is comprised of. So they should either correctly call it PMT Salford or PMT Greater Manchester.

2022: basses bought minus basses sold equals.....

Thanks, @Ricky Rioli. This list is pure gold 👍 I will show it to my wife and tell her that if she wants to avoid the embarrassment of her husband being at the bottom of the table next year again, she will need to allow me to buy significantly more basses (and sell way fewer). +8 is the number to beat next year 😉 -

I bought 6 basses and sold 11. So, I am ending the year at -5 basses. -

1991 EBMM Stingray 2EQ. Great bass with cool Bernard Edwards/Louis Johnson/Timmy C vibes. Thanks again, @Dov65 for finding it for me 👍

Not sure why you want to buy the headstock of a Ric copy, but, hey, more power to you 😉

The deals I posted are genuinely good one; however, you are right that most BF "bargains" are not to be trusted: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/black-friday-deals-warning-which-brands-b1041598.html

It is perfectly legit. Sometimes also known as Paulownia. Tree is known for being fast-growing and the wood for being very light. Other manufactures (e.g., Sandberg) also use it. More about the tree: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paulownia_tomentosa Sandberg's founder Holger Stonjek briefly talking here about Paulownia:

What I like about the Ian Hill neck is that it has the same nut width (1.64'') as a NS-2 or Euro (by comparison, the Doug Wimbish has 1.5''!) but feels slimmer/flatter/less chunky front to back than a NS-2 or Euro. Great neck profile!

It's gone! Did anyone here buy it? If yes, then please send me 20% commission. Thank you 😉
