The preamp should also differ. Yours should be the EMG BTS (unless the previous owner changed it). The Euro 4, which indeed started in 2001, came with the Aguilar OBP-1, succeeded in 2003 by the first version of the Spector TonePump. 2004 saw then the introduction of the Euro 4LX and the maple/walnut/alder body wings "sandwich".

Congrats. Great score ๐ As it has the Spector logo on the headstock and the mother of pearl inlays but a serial number without NB, I would say it is a 1999 or 2000 NS-4CR, not a Euro (started in 2001 but serial number starts with NB).

It's a nice song and that's the nicest I can say about it.

Well, these anime-live music crossovers are big in Japan (sorry ; - ) I wanted to check out Tokyo and esp. the videogame arcades but then the COVID pandemic started ๐

The first photo shows the fictional character Layer as portraited in the anime and video games. The last photo shows Layer as represented in the live band (portrayed by the artist Raychell). Here is a clip of RAS. They definitely have a lot of fans in Japan ๐

@Bunion, before I answer that, first let me know if you like Aerosmith or Supertramp (or both)?

Spector fans! Great to see action here again ๐ Last month, I got the Japan-only Euro 4 LX Ras Layer in the cool twilight amber finish. It is Layer's (see last photo) signature bass (bassist and singer in the Japanese rock band Raise a Suilen (RAS)). It comes with the Darkglass Tone Capsule and a RAS branded semi-hard case (plus COA and a fretboard protector (see photos below)). Great bass but it has the Euro typical neck shape, which is a bit too chunky for my taste. I prefer the (Ian Hill) thin neck specs. Should have asked the Japanese retailer to take measurements. Well, lesson learned. I thought of keeping it as a collector's item but now have my eyes on some other basses. So, if someone wants to add it to his or collection, then please send me a PM. Cheers.

Next year is the T'bird's 60th anniversary. So, let's hope they will release some cool new birds (T'bird II, maybe?)

Stealth recently bought my T-Rex Bass Juice pedal. Transaction was super easy and straightforward. That's how all transactions should be. Very impressed ๐

Musicman Stingray 4 Mint Green, Maple Neck - *SOLD*

There was indeed an American Standard P bass in the Blizzard Pearl Colour but it is not yours. Yours is an American Series P bass from 2005 in chrome silver. You can use Fender's own serial number look up service (https://serialnumberlookup.fender.com/lookup/) and the serial number that can be seen in your 7th photo.

That looks bad indeed. When we discussed the Gene Simmons T'bird a while ago (that also had some poor finish), I suggested that Gibson should call its finish "proto-relic". In this way they could make it an official feature and charge even more money ๐

The Timmy C signature basses are truly special. I also have the long scale and passive version. Killer bass. How many passive Stingrays are out there? Further, the natural one has black hardware. Again, how many natural stingrays with black hardware are out there? So, passive SR, natural/black combo, height adjustable finger ramp, strings-thru bridge with mutes and old school logo (ok, only a little thing, but every little helps, right? ; -) - quite a lot of features for a signature bass.

Cool stuff. Looks like they are now also catering for customers who speak Latin: It translates to: "The customer is very happy. He will pursue the education of the student, but this will happen at the same time as with some great labour and pain." Hmm, not exactly sure what that means though ๐ฅด

What? You do not know Timmy C? Man, you really need to Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

Yes, I have a Chrome Red from 2004. Great colour. The colour of the bass here is indeed called "Chrome Silver". The bass is actually from 01/2005 and an American Series (2003-2008, Am Standard came before and after) bass. The body wood is alder and it has a lovely satin neck. All the info (and much more) can be found here: https://serialnumberlookup.fender.com/lookup/ GLWTS ๐

Sorry, had to set the record (pun intended) straight ๐

Maybe a mix of both? DevoPo? PoDevo? DePo? PoDe?

You have to give Vulfpeck credit for being great entertainers. Cool show (pun intended). Not sure about the hats though. Reminded me of...

Yeah, same here. 2 out of 5 claws is pretty bad ๐

Looks like the lobster is not a fan of the JD II.
