Yes, watched it too. It was ok. He got Joe Dart's first signature bass wrong. It's a Sterling, not a Stingray.

Selling my Geddy Lee YYZ Signature SansAmp pedal. Bought it a year ago and only used it a few times at home. The pedal is in pristine condition and comes with the original tin box, manual, warranty card and sticker. Happy to ship within the UK for an additional £6 (decent courier). Shipping costs to the EU and the rest of the world would be significantly higher. Here are some details about the pedal taken from Tech 21’s website: “Wanting to streamline and simplify his gear for new projects, Geddy Lee partnered with Tech 21 to design a signature rackmount SansAmp, the GED-2112. This challenging collaboration involved distilling a boatload of equipment into a single rackspace. Challenging ourselves, to bring a super-compact, portable alternative, we further distilled the rackmount into a pedal format. The SansAmp YYZ offers Geddy’s core sound and the versatility for many different styles. Geddy Lee YYZ Signature SansAmp FEATURES: • All analog SansAmp technology enables you to record directly and enhance previously recorded tracks. For live performances, the YYZ can drive a power amp and speakers, augment your existing amplifier set-up, or run directly into the mixer of a PA system. • Mix control to blend the ratio of high-end studio clean and dirty bass tube amp tones. • Tight button to add definition to your notes in cleaner settings and make distorted tones snappier. • Drive adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive, similar to when the output section of a tube amp is being pushed. • Active 3-band EQ. • Master volume. • Operable with 9V alkaline battery (not included) or optional DC power supply (Tech 21 model #DC2, #DC4 or #DC9).”

Pro Music Tools had both a PDN Neptune Blue Stingray 4HH and a Stingray 4HS, but no Bongo!

It quite likely is the only one. I've done a lot of digging and I only came across this one.

Agree, that Sabre looks killer 🤩

Great bassists who most people don't know

I still doubt most people know who he was as his first name did not start with an A or B. -

Well, this forum is called BassCHAT and not BassPLAY for a reason 😉

Next year is the Bongo's 20th anniversary. Let's see if EBMM release an anniversary model and/or use this opportunity to present a new version (like they did in 2018 for the Stingray, now Stingray Special).

In all fairness, the bass shown is a "90s era Fernandez Nikki Sixx model/Spectorbird copy". I just posted it for the, well, let's say, "interesting design".

In case you still need some design ideas, check out what Spector posted yesterday 😉

Fender should have called it the "Fender Marmite" bass. People either love it or hate it. There's not much in between. I feel my role here is to be somewhere in the middle of that, kind of like lukewarm water 😉
-
as I said, I am mad. Just ask my wife 😉
-
I like the understated look of the body but the block inlays are a big no-no
-
I wanted it to look like this

BD really takes great photos. I am almost tempted myself even though that's my (now former) bass😎 Got it late Jan this year and only played it at home a bit. It is in showroom condition, absolutely flawless but not what I had envisioned (I talked about it in this thread as well, page 41) and yes, I know I am mad 😉 So, yes, please go for it @hiram.k.hackenbacker Won't get a brand new NS-2 for such a price ever again (esp. after Spector's recent price hike and the fact that the no-frills Fortes are no more either) 😉

Agree, interesting concept but the look of some of the knobs and the block inlays are not my cup of tea. My fav: Least fav:

I recently bought Andy's Classic Sabre bass. Transaction went ultra smoothly and Andy was even so kind to organise the delivery as well. Cool stuff 👍 Looking forward to buying another bass from Andy!
