Cheers. This video, out of the three I've watched so far, is probably the closest to a review instead of a sponsored product demo. However, the guy tries sooo hard to come across as a cool dude. Annoying 🤨

Both videos sounded really good but I guess these guys could make a broom sound amazing too 😉 I especially liked Patrick playing Them Bones. Nice one. TBH, I preferred the look of the first Pulse (esp. the red one). Although, I heard about the finish coming off after some time.

Spector has now finally officially announced the Pulse II (as mentioned before in this thread, BP magazine had already reviewed it before launch). Here are two demos:

ON HOLD PENDING 2013 Fender Precision MIM Trade? - *SOLD*

Very tempting. Love the finish. However, as I pointed out in the previous sales post back in Nov, "I zoomed in one of the photos and I think the quarter pounder has bigger pole pieces. Yours looks more like a vintage P or the Hot P. I could be wrong though". So it is either a SPB-1 or 2, not a SPB-3. See also the photos I posted in the previous sales post. GLWTS 👍 -

On the back of the headstock, underneath the G string tuner is a serial number. You can see it in your first photo but it is too blurred to read. The serial number looks something like this: "MX19003133". The first two digits following "MX" (which stands for "Made in Mexico") tell you the year the bass was made in. As mentioned, a few more photos, especially showing the finish better (some are more reliced, some less and I am more interested in the less reliced ones) would be helpful. -

Agree, much more difficult to find good bargains but there is a small shop in Belgium that has a Bongo 4HH stealth black (NOS) for the equivalent of £1,900 and a Bongo 4H blue pearl (NOS) for £1,830. Ok, shipping costs would need to be added but VAT should not be an issue as the Belgium VAT would be taken out before purchase and before our UK VAT would be added at the time of arrival. Good news is that the Belgian VAT is 21%, so higher than ours!

How is the HS? I have never played one. I am curious as DV247 have one in stock, also in black (not stealth) for £1,692. Sounds like a very tempting price, especially considering the "new normal" prices. It says "Showroom model/B-stock with replacement neck installed by distributor and scratches on pickguard".

Yes, watched it too. It was ok. He got Joe Dart's first signature bass wrong. It's a Sterling, not a Stingray.

Yes, that would look very tempting indeed!

Selling my Geddy Lee YYZ Signature SansAmp pedal. Bought it a year ago and only used it a few times at home. The pedal is in pristine condition and comes with the original tin box, manual, warranty card and sticker. Happy to ship within the UK for an additional £6 (decent courier). Shipping costs to the EU and the rest of the world would be significantly higher. Here are some details about the pedal taken from Tech 21’s website: “Wanting to streamline and simplify his gear for new projects, Geddy Lee partnered with Tech 21 to design a signature rackmount SansAmp, the GED-2112. This challenging collaboration involved distilling a boatload of equipment into a single rackspace. Challenging ourselves, to bring a super-compact, portable alternative, we further distilled the rackmount into a pedal format. The SansAmp YYZ offers Geddy’s core sound and the versatility for many different styles. Geddy Lee YYZ Signature SansAmp FEATURES: • All analog SansAmp technology enables you to record directly and enhance previously recorded tracks. For live performances, the YYZ can drive a power amp and speakers, augment your existing amplifier set-up, or run directly into the mixer of a PA system. • Mix control to blend the ratio of high-end studio clean and dirty bass tube amp tones. • Tight button to add definition to your notes in cleaner settings and make distorted tones snappier. • Drive adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive, similar to when the output section of a tube amp is being pushed. • Active 3-band EQ. • Master volume. • Operable with 9V alkaline battery (not included) or optional DC power supply (Tech 21 model #DC2, #DC4 or #DC9).”

Pro Music Tools had both a PDN Neptune Blue Stingray 4HH and a Stingray 4HS, but no Bongo!

It quite likely is the only one. I've done a lot of digging and I only came across this one.

Agree, that Sabre looks killer 🤩

Great bassists who most people don't know

I still doubt most people know who he was as his first name did not start with an A or B. -

Next year is the Bongo's 20th anniversary. Let's see if EBMM release an anniversary model and/or use this opportunity to present a new version (like they did in 2018 for the Stingray, now Stingray Special).
