In all fairness, the bass shown is a "90s era Fernandez Nikki Sixx model/Spectorbird copy". I just posted it for the, well, let's say, "interesting design".

In case you still need some design ideas, check out what Spector posted yesterday π

FS: Musicman Stingray HH 3EQ Β£1399 - *SOLD*

Fender should have called it the "Fender Marmite" bass. People either love it or hate it. There's not much in between. I feel my role here is to be somewhere in the middle of that, kind of like lukewarm water π

as I said, I am mad. Just ask my wife π

I like the understated look of the body but the block inlays are a big no-no
-
I wanted it to look like this

BD really takes great photos. I am almost tempted myself even though that's my (now former) bassπ Got it late Jan this year and only played it at home a bit. It is in showroom condition, absolutely flawless but not what I had envisioned (I talked about it in this thread as well, page 41) and yes, I know I am mad π So, yes, please go for it @hiram.k.hackenbacker Won't get a brand new NS-2 for such a price ever again (esp. after Spector's recent price hike and the fact that the no-frills Fortes are no more either) π

Agree, interesting concept but the look of some of the knobs and the block inlays are not my cup of tea. My fav: Least fav:

I recently bought Andy's Classic Sabre bass. Transaction went ultra smoothly and Andy was even so kind to organise the delivery as well. Cool stuff π Looking forward to buying another bass from Andy!
-
Great looking bass. Congrats, Andy. However, did not know that you were a Wolves fan π

What are you listening to right now?

We should not let labels bother us, it is just great music and let's celebrate it π

Another groovy STP classic. It is pretty easy but soooo much fun to play π

Oh man, this reminds me of this movie scene (from 1:40) π

I spent my weekends trawling the internet on the search for an EBMM Stingray 4H, 2EQ, natural, maple fingerboard, with arm and body contours (so, no pre-EBMM and no Classic). One of the places I regularly check is the Bass Gallery and they don't have my 2EQ SR but they do have the same Bongo 5HH in Egyptian Smoke that Bass Direct lists. Yes, it is exactly the same bass. I checked the serial number - F07975. Interesting, how can the same bass be in two different shops and for two different prices (Β£1,399 vs Β£1,200) at the same time? https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/ernie-ball-music-man-bongo-5 https://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Bongo_5HH_SH.html

Well, what can I say? It is a nice song and that's probably the nicest thing I can say about it. Nice.
-
Agree. Interstate Love Song is another great one to play

not strictly grunge but Stone Temple Pilot's Plush has some great lines. Very melodic and consisting of several interesting but not too difficult parts (so an amateur like me can also handle them and gains some sense of achievement ;-).

Rooster is great and yes I am a bit biased as a big AIC fan. These are my other AIC fav lines: Man in the Box, Angry Chair, Sea of Sorrow (only one string but still cool as, well, I cannot say as what ;- ), Bleed the Freak, Would, Junkhead, It Ain't Like That, Down in a Hole and and and. Play them on one of these π
