The colours are way too bright, may not come across well in the photo. For example, the red could have been darker and closer to Mike's bass. Would have been possible as they used the darker red on the back. No idea why they did not use it on the front too. See here As I said, 1st world problems but I was soooo looking forward to it and now I am disappointed. Well, I either get over it or sell it soon and do it all over again but then with the other company that shall not be named in this Spector thread, hoping they'll do a better job for this one:

No more photos, it is already cased up and in my bass vault in an undisclosed location somewhere in the heart of rural England (i.e., Leicestershire). Here is how it should have looked like

Another photo of my NS-2 in cherry burst. Well, what can I say. Great bass with excellent built quality and not too heavy either. Should be very happy but I am not. Why? It does not look how I wanted it to look like. Similar but not similar enough. I know, I know, ultimate first world problem but I am very OCD about these things. Let's see if I get over it or if it goes soon ๐

My Fender AVRI 58 P in 3TSB. Killer bass but had to sell it to finance a Spector which I don't have anymore either. I also had a nice EBMM Cutlass in diamond blue. Sold it to, yes you guessed correctly, finance a Spector bass (which I still have). Fortunately, I got another Cutlass in coral red recently that will stay (until, well, you know what ;- )

I liked the first two Bat out of Hell albums and his incredible over the top live performances. Here's an interesting interview with his long time bassist Steve Buslowe: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/jan/24/warm-loving-generous-but-he-had-demons-inside-the-life-of-meat-loaf -
Well, for a short time I owned a 2006 EBMM SUB, the US made no-frills Stingray. It had a slab body, like the Classic, and it just did not work for me. Real shame. Great bass but not for me. Well, someone else will hopefully love it.

Man, this bass looks killer and the EMG GZR pickups are awesome. One of my first basses was a Skyline and I remember how much I loved the feel of the neck. I also just read that you are "Happy to drive/meet up in the midlands or further if interested." You are in Mansfield, which is just 50 min north of me. Well, to save my marriage and our bank account, I better quickly take a blue pill and wake up, not knowing about it ๐

I like your thinking. I have one new bass coming in today but at the same time I am also selling four. So, does that not mean that I am now at -3 and that I can still buy three more basses and still end the year on 0? That's how it works, right? I will talk to my wife and test this hypothesis ๐

Look what's coming tomorrow ๐ฅฐ

Not myself. I really like the look. Red and black. My fav colour combination. Found this review/gear talk video though. Mentions that the finish comes off, which is a bit of a bummer, esp. for people like me who are a bit OCD about these things

Man, last year I lasted until Feb 4th (G&L CLF Research L2000, CAR), this year I am already out on Jan 22nd ๐

Good idea actually. Would save me lots of money, renting a bass instead of buying one. Maybe a kind of subscription service. You get 1 bass sent to you to use for a month and then you return it and get another one. I think that's how Netflix started out. They would send you DVD's in the mail and you would then send them back and get another one. Something like that, well, too long ago and my memory is not the best anymore, cannot even remember when I bought my last bass. Probably a long time ago, ok I need a new one ๐- 40 replies

Or do you mean that you already have too many TC basses? However, even this would not be possible ๐- 40 replies
