  1. Well, a Poison, Warrant or RATT patch would probably be more appropriate for a such a hair metal bass 😉 Ok, 4.7kg IS on the heavy side, but hey, it is a heavy metal bass after all 🙂 GLWTS 👍
  2. Cool looking bass. Not sure I have enough hair left to play such a bass though 😉 What is the weight please? Cheers!
  3. SOLD! Well, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Or, less poetically, what do we know? 😉
  4. It reminds me of the scene from "Falling Down" when William Foster wants to order breakfast but has to order from the lunch menu instead. He eventually goes for the WhammyBurger because it looks great on the display board, only to be disappointed by what he gets instead 🙂
  5. The issue is the huge gap between what Korg advertises ("Each Euro CST instrument is meticulously crafted using premium materials, featuring a striking, highly figured Poplar Burl top, a resonant European Ash body, and a 3-piece North American Maple neck paired with an Ebony fingerboard) and what they actually ask retailers to sell:
  6. Yes, that looks awful. Korg sent some lovely looking CST's to their influencers to wet our appetite. Well, they should have sent them to their retailers too. For example, Sweetwater has a red CST in stock and it does not look anywhere near as good as the influencer ones. $3199? Wow. Good luck with that! I can see that BD also got a red CST (5 string). Again, the burst is a bit disappointing. A bit "Burst Light" or "Diet Burst" 😉 Interestingly, BD has already put them all on sale. Pretty much on the first day of selling them. Turbo-sale!
  7. Agree, this finish looks awesome. I just hope the neck will be chunky like most Euro necks, so I won't be tempted to buy the red CST 😉
  8. Nice video for both the new LX and CST:
  9. Great looking bass with some tasty upgrades, incl. better pots and the Fender CS 62 pickup. Weight is good too (3.9kg!). £500? Wow, that's a steal. I recently sold my last passive bass but this is now really, really tempting. I better ask my wife to block my bank account and hide my credit card 😉 GLWTS 👍
  10. Jim recently bought my Sadowsky preamp pedal. Smooth transaction and super quick payment. Thumbs up 👍
  11. I am selling this nice Sadowsky SBP-2 Outboard Bass Preamp, which is in mint condition and gives bass players the same electronics that have been used into every Sadowsky bass. It is a great preamp that is ideal for players who want to upgrade their passive vintage instruments without having to change the original electronics. As I no longer own any passive basses, I sadly don't have any use for it anymore. The preamp is now stored safely in its original box in a pet and smoke free house. UK shipping only (sorry!) and shipping costs are included. Feautures: - Bass Preamp / EQ - Provides the same high quality electronics as used in Sadowsky basses - EQ section works as bass and treble boost only Bass + 18 dB boost at 40 Hz Treble + 18 dB boost at 4 kHz - True Bypass - Controls for volume, treble, bass - Bypass footswitch - Status LEDs - 6.3 mm Mono jack input / output - Power supply with 9 V battery or via 9 V DC power supply unit (2.1 mm x 5.5 mm hollow female plug, polarity (-) inside, not included) - Power consumption: 3 mA - Metal housing - Dimensions (L x W x H): 112 x 70 x 53 mm - Weight: approx. 265 g More info on the Sadowsky website: https://sadowsky.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Preamp-Insert-SBP-2-low-res.pdf
  12. I am selling this nice set of EMG- 35P4 and 35J pickups. They are in mint condition and I bought them last summer for £160. I got them for my Spector NS-4, which I only played at home. The pickups are now stored safely in their original boxes in a pet and smoke free house. UK shipping only (sorry!) and shipping costs are included. From the EMG website: https://www.emgpickups.com/bass/extended-series/35p4.html The EMG 35P4 is our P bass pickup in an Extended range housing with the treble magnet closer to the neck (like a Spector or Yamaha bass). The EMG 35P4 covers a wide sonic palette of classic and modern bass sounds. Because the 35P4 utilizes ceramic magnets coupled with short, squat coils, the tone has brilliant high-end articulation, warmth, and incredible low end punch. Countless pros use this bass pickup because of its natural presence, superior dynamics, and low noise. For players who want a "Fender" P alignment - with the treble side closer to the bridge - we offer this pickup in "reverse". Utilizing EMG's solderless wiring, this pickup is easy to install at home. IN THE BOX PACKAGE INCLUDES EMG'S EXCLUSIVE SOLDERLESS INSTALL SYSTEM: 1 25K VOLUME POT 1 25K TONE POT 1 BATTERY BUS 1 STEREO OUTPUT JACK 1 PAIR MOUNTING SCREWS 1 PICKUP CABLE 2 CONNECT CABLES 1 OUTPUT CABLE 1 BATTERY CABLE https://www.emgpickups.com/bass/extended-series/35j.html The EMG 35J is our original J pickup in a Extended series housing for 4 string bass. This pickup has its coil located in the back of the housing - closer to the bridge - which gives it sweeping harmonic overtones and punch. This quiet pickup has classic jazz bass characteristics with a broader tonal frequency range that adds dimensions and clarity. EMG's design has a very low ratio of resistance to inductance, which increases the low end response, while the radiused ceramic bar magnet ensures the tone keeps a tight mid-range punch with a dynamic high end. This pickup uses a housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm) and comes with EMG's solderless wiring and controls. IN THE BOX PACKAGE INCLUDES EMG'S EXCLUSIVE SOLDERLESS INSTALL SYSTEM: 1 25K VOLUME POT 1 25K TONE POT 1 BATTERY BUS 1 STEREO OUTPUT JACK 1 PAIR MOUNTING SCREWS 1 PICKUP CABLE 2 CONNECT CABLES 1 OUTPUT CABLE 1 BATTERY CABLE
  13. How long, not long because what you reap is what you sow!
  14. Happy to help, here is your bass number 88 😁
  15. @three I found your sales ad and I know remember it. Actually, I had been in contact with its previous owner but lacked the dough. Definitely one of the best looking Spectors of all time! You should get it back 😉
  16. Ok, I think I undervalued this beauty, esp. after having seen the used NS-2 with solid maple wings at £6k. So, the new price is £3299!
  17. Yes, the finish looks stunning and much better in person than on the photos I took with my cheap phone. Solid maple wings are getting rare and expensive too. The Bass Gallery is currently selling a used 2017 NS-2 with solid maple wings in an amber finish for £6,000.00! Well, maybe I should reconsider my pricing as the pickups I put on turned the NS-4 (DCs) into a NS-2 (PJ)! https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/ns2
  18. You can pre-order them from Bass Direct. The 4s go for £5499, the 5s for £5799 and the relic'ed one for £6899. https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/spector-4-string-doug-wimbish-usa-custom-shop-signature-model-amber-stain-gloss/ https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/spector-4-string-doug-wimbish-usa-custom-shop-signature-model-black-stain-gloss/ https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/spector-5-string-doug-wimbish-usa-custom-shop-signature-model-dark-blue-stain-gloss/ https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/spector-5-string-doug-wimbish-usa-custom-shop-signature-model-faded-natural-gloss/ https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/spector-ns-2-doug-wimbish-relic/
  19. There is also a retailer in Germany, selling a Euro Classic Aged 80s. I am not a fan of relic'd basses but YMMV: https://www.station-musicshop.de/epages/64398533.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/64398533/Products/6770-6814
