The Beatles music WILL be heard in 1,000 years!
Eldon Tyrell replied to SteveK's topic in General Discussion
...and that's why we should not put the Beatles in the vault but Scooter. Because if people listen to their "music" and especially read their lyrics (see below for some examples), they will at least understand why everything went downhill π - The Question Is What Is the Question? "Start the danger Rearranger Not so cool Mercy I'm the vapour On the radar Get up on the mic and shout it Yeah, move it I spit bricks got the kicks in the mix My pricks long out the rigs Party of bricks like Jackie X No diggedy diggedy HP I'm the bad boy, roll MC, so sexy" - How much is the fish? "Sunshine in the air We're breaking the rules Ignore the machine You won't ever stop this The chase is better than the catch Hold your back for the rhythym attack Coming down on the floor like a maniac" -FCK2020 "A nightmare came true The worst year ever Like everyone's insane Insane in the membrane" -

Errrrr Tim Commerford Stingray Short Scale ??!!
Eldon Tyrell replied to Adee's topic in Bass Guitars
Yes, ordering directly from EBMM is a great option. Cuts out the middle men and their markup. Ok, Β£2.9k is still a lot of money but it is a unique model with some cool features and a "normal" Stingray Special nowadays costs pretty much the same, at least here in the UK (depending on the finish of course. For example, the smoked chrome costs Β£2.9k at Andertons, the Amethyst Sparkle costs Β£3k at BD but the Speed Blue and Burnt Ends "only" cost Β£2.75k at Andertons.) -

Oh no, I wanted to achieve the opposite: Expect NOT to get it anytime soon, so that if you get it in 1-2 weeks, it will be unexpected, a nice surprise and you will be delighted π -

When I ordered mine, I also said "ships in 4 months", but I sent an email to EBMM about my online payment issues and I was then told about the "handful ready to ship". So, let's see. Expect to get it in 4 months and be delighted if it already arrives in a week or so π -

I was told by one of EBMM's sales managers that they have " a handful ready to ship right away". This was referring to the long-scale, natural finish one. However, I am sure that also applies to the other three models. So, you may get yours much earlier. Fingers crossed! -

A 2019 song? Of course, I won't know that. Musically, I am stuck in the 70s-90s. Sad but true*. *(you see what I did here? π -

Man, I really thought Nirvana came up with that song. Turns out it is just a cover song π -

Yeah, I still cannot really picture him with a short scale bass. Instead of that, EBMM should have released two HH models, like for example the honeyburst and natural ones in this Premier Guitar rig rundown video from 2016 when the re-joined the EBMM family. I especially like the HH with the natural finish and black hardware. That would have been my fav sig bass (see picture below and from 07:00): -

Nope. I thought it was an original song from 1066AD but obviously sung by someone contemporary. No? -

Thanks, @TheGreek. BTW, I can see that you are a "grand master" (14/14) in the new badge system. That's cool but where do you go from here? BC should introduce a 15th rank. Well, it's one higher, isn't it? It's not 14. You see, most people, you know, will make it to 14. You're on 14 here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on 14 on BC. Where can you go from there? Where? Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? - Put it up to 15. 15. Exactly. One higher π -

Wow. That was surprisingly good. Nice melody and the pretty traditional verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge (instrumental)-chorus structure. π -
Parody account or rich parents naively supporting?

I still the like the idea of this being a social experiment (or part of a series of experiments) more than the idea of her spending too much time, energy and money on writing songs and shooting videos without, politely said, being a good singer. -

Good taste. That's the same I ordered π Yours will probably also be shipped either today or early next week as one of EBMM's sales managers informed me earlier today that "We have a handful ready to ship right away and more coming with production staggered throughout the next few months". Cannot wait π₯° -

Agree, maybe someone should ask Rick Beato to analyse the song as part of a new series: "What makes this song awful?" π -
I apologize already in advance but I just could not resist, "cause I'm broken when I'm open" π Ok, I am out of here π

Ok, talked to the credit card department of my bank and they have now approved the transaction π It also means that I now have to sell one of my beloved Spector basses to fund the purchase π -

..and immediately declined by my bank, even after confirming the transaction via my banking app π± I now have to convince them that it was a genuine transaction. I also wrote to EBMM confirming the order and asking them whether or not I have to put in my card details again. Maybe my wife asked my bank to block purchases from EBMM π
