Yes, definitely better than Absurd but still not really that great. This song is also from the Chinese Democracy sessions. Hope they eventually write some really new (and better) songs. http://www.alternativenation.net/guns-n-roses-debut-first-new-reunion-song/

Yeah, together with Scooter: "Start the danger, Rearranger. Not so cool. Mercy. I'm the vapour. On the radar. Get up on the mic and shout it. Yeah, move it. I spit bricks got the kicks in the mix. My pricks long out the rigs. Party of bricks like Jackie X. No diggedy diggedy HP. I'm the bad boy, roll MC, so sexy.

Laughable lyrics? Really? What is wrong with lines like: "Syphilitic priestess baby, I know who you are Parasitic demon sucking acid through your heart" Sounds like a contender for the Noble Prize for Literature to me ๐

Errrrr Tim Commerford Stingray Short Scale ??!!

Checked the UPS tracking website and it still stays "Delivery: Monday, Aug 9th". My TC is now in Tamworth, which is just 40min from me. C'mon, UPS, do me a favour and quickly hop over ๐ -
NBD Musicman Tim Commerford Signature StingRay
Eldon Tyrell replied to drTStingray's topic in Bass Guitars
Yeah, I also found it strange to see a TC short-scale model. However, over at TB, Alex Claber, the Director of Barefaced Audio, said that TC used them in his previous band Wakrat and is playing them now in his new band 7D7D. He was also thinking of taking some on the (now delayed) RATM tour.- 40 replies

That's what I thought too. However, looks like Sweetwater (and maybe some other retailers too) will also sell them. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/StRay4TCN--ernie-ball-music-man-tim-commerford-stingray-special-passive-bass-guitar-natural-ebony-fingerboard https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/StRay4TCB--ernie-ball-music-man-tim-commerford-stingray-special-active-bass-guitar-black-with-roasted-maple-fingerboard https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/StRaySS4TCVS--ernie-ball-music-man-tim-commerford-short-scale-stingray-special-passive-bass-guitar-vintage-sunburst-rosewood-fingerboard https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/StRaySS4TCB--ernie-ball-music-man-tim-commerford-short-scale-stingray-special-active-bass-guitar-natural-maple-fingerboard- 40 replies

NBD Musicman Tim Commerford Signature StingRay
Eldon Tyrell replied to drTStingray's topic in Bass Guitars
This particular model has sold out now. There are still 11 of the long-scale and active model available (the black one). By contrast, plenty of the short-scale models are still available (62 in total!). Not selling that well.- 40 replies

I also ordered one and paid everything (price for bass, shipping, and VAT) at the time of checkout. So, there should not be any more costs when it arrives on Monday. The Vault is really good and much, much cheaper than getting it from UK retailers (cutting out the markup for distributor and retailer). For example, for the EBMM Stingray Special 4HH BFR "Kingpin", Bass Direct wants ยฃ3699. Now look how much it costs you by ordering directly from EBMM (again, all charges included!): Cart Subtotal (1 item):ยฃ2139.28 GBP UPS Expedited:ยฃ111.02 GBP Duties and taxes:ยฃ530.66 GBP Order Total: ยฃ2780.96 GBP Savings: ยฃ918.04 Links: Shop Ernie Ball Music Man - Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special HH - Kingpin (music-man.com) Musicman Stingray Special 4ยฎ HH, BFR Kingpin Bass Direct - MUSICMAN, MUSIC MAN, - For sale, UK Basses specialist, USA, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Ernie Ball, Active bass- 40 replies

My only LX is the Mike Starr LE and that is the only bass that is not going anywhere. So, @Al Krow, if you want me to help @JohnDaBass, you have to "lend" me another Euro LX first ๐
-
Congrats. Looks great. The Legend NT was my first Spector. However, don't lie to your wife. Tell her that the bass is just a loan from Eldon Tyrell and that you will return it by the end of the month. I'll send you my address ๐
-
I am tempted but realistically not this year. I have the EBMM TC sig basses arriving on Monday, so I really should not even bother thinking about it. Instead, I should sell one of my Spector Fortes to finance the TC. GAS really is a disease ๐ So, maybe early next year. Let's see what NAMM has to offer.

I looked at the photos on BD's website and the second to last photo of the headstock shows the "Ian Hill" signature. It is in the right place. So, unless the previous owner created his own IH signature, it is an IH signature model. The typical thin neck specs would also give it away but I cannot judge that from the photos. Spector Euro 4LX four string bass, poplar burl top, Second Hand and Ex-demo Bass Guitar Stock:: For sale, UK, EU, Birmingham, Manchester, London USA, on offer (bassdirect.co.uk)
-
Happy to make you a good offer then. I am not known for keeping my basses for long ๐
-
Correct, the previous IH model came as a PJ model (black only). For the current models (black and white), Spector and Ian decided to get rid of the J pickup as Ian never uses it anyway (there are videos where he mentions that).
-
Thomann lists it at ยฃ858. I think that's not too bad. The bass comes with the SD Vintage P and J pickups, a Gotoh bridge, and an ebony FB. Ok, the tuners seem to be a bit flimsy (according to some reviews I've read) but overall, not too bad for that price.

Man, things are getting pretty dark and gloomy now in this thread. Time to lighten things up a bit ๐ -
Yep, here you go:
-
Spector fans, is one of you currently selling lots of your Spector basses ? I've just checked Bass Direct's pre-owned section and there are several new additions. I think at least 5 (7 in total). Have to ask my wife to hide my credit cards in a safe place ๐

Well, which of you two is "evil, self-indulgent, and uncaring to anyone but himself"? ๐ -
I wonder what they will release next. Maybe a jazz-blues or a blues-jazz record?

Could be a case of Dr Jekyll and Mister Hyde ๐ -
Alright, big fan of GnR since 1987's Appetite for Destruction. Well, what can I say. The title says it all. I actually liked the first few seconds, until the scream. The rest is pretty crap. Who is on vocals? Johnny Rotten? Not sure what happened to GnR. Maybe it has something to do with this: Guns N' Roses launch official line of bongs and smoking accessories (nme.com)

Just realised something, @Ricky Rioli. You are a "rising star" but the screenshot shows that you became a "Grand Master" on Sunday at 16:33. How come? Do you secretly have another profile? Gotcha ๐
