Errrrr Tim Commerford Stingray Short Scale ??!!

Wow. Wow. Wow π€© Man, I have been waiting for years for a Timmy C EBMM signature bass. It seemed to never happen and now they release four. FOUR!!! Cannot believe it. It is a bit like waiting for a bus. You wait for ages and then suddenly several show up at the same time. So, he will have 2 active and long scale and 2 passive ones and short scale ones. Here's Tim with some more info and also showing how the finger ramp can be adjusted to make it level with the pickguard. Cool stuff. Tim Commerford | Basses | Ernie Ball Music Man (music-man.com) I always wanted his signature bass to be one with a natural finish and black hardware and so they did! Wish it had been the active model but I will probably still buy it π Oh yes, the best news is that they are available via the vault and can be shipped to the UK! -

Looks like I have to be that guy: Does anyone really think that there will be anyone left here in 1000 years to listen to any music? -
Parody account or rich parents naively supporting?
Eldon Tyrell replied to Cat Burrito's topic in General Discussion
Could be that her MSc dissertation supervisor got funding for it from a research council (e.g., ESRC or AHRC). -
From my own experience, I can tell you that you will exit the shop with at least one more bass and much less money in your bank account. You've been warned π

Some people here on BC also like the new "Modern Vintage" basses: Bass Direct is the UK distributor for MV. If possible, I would go there for a daytrip and check out the MV and compare it to the other P and PJ basses they have in stock (e.g., Sandberg, Maruszczyk etc.). They also always have several nice second hand basses in stock too. For example, they currently have a nice MIJ Fender P in CAR finish. Very tempting indeed: Fender Precision Made in Japan Candy Apple Red : For sale, UK, EU, USA Germany, UK, On offer Second Hand Bass Guitar Stock :: , Warwick, Leo Fender, London, Manchester, Birmingham, (bassdirect.co.uk) They also have a used MIJ in black (but with rosewood fingerboard): Fender Precision Made in Japan 1989 Gloss Black , four string bass: For sale, UK, EU, USA Germany, UK, On offer Second Hand Bass Guitar Stock :: , Warwick, Leo Fender, London, Manchester, Birmingham, USA (bassdirect.co.uk)

Yes, I like them too. You may want to check out this documentary that focuses on their first Europe tour, including them playing at the Wacken festival: -

@Woodinblack, I just mentioned it over at the other thread that focuses on Sarah Brand, that this is definitely an experiment. As you mentioned her here first, you are either Sarah Brand yourself or you help her with the experiment. Very clever way to create content for Sarah's MSc dissertation. BTW, the research method she is using is called netnography: Netnography, an online research method originating in ethnography, is understanding social interaction in contemporary digital communications contexts. Netnography is a specific set of research practices related to data collection, analysis, research ethics, and representation, rooted in participant observation. In netnography, a significant amount of the data originates in and manifests through the digital traces of naturally occurring public conversations recorded by contemporary communications networks. Netnography uses these conversations as data. Netnography - Wikipedia -

Agree and it is obviously not his fault that these current Top 10 lists are what they are. -

Thanks, this was pretty good. I especially like how several bands incorporated traditional Chinese folk music. I also liked that the first and last band featured Spector basses π All in all, much more creativity here than in the following "Top 10 Metal Songs" video: -
Well, when was the last time that stopped us from buying one? π

Maybe she is currently taking some singing lessons and will then conduct the second experiment as suggested by you. Multi-study designs are de rigueur π -

We need MORE badges. The badge for "Collaborator" looks exactly like the one for "Community Regular". How does that motivate me to make it to the next level? Not cool βΉοΈ -
