Alright, checked EBMM's Vault today and found the Kingpin. Well, it is not bling in the sense of a sparkle finish but still too bling for me: https://shop.music-man.com/ernie-ball-music-man-stingray-special-hh-kingpin.html

Well, reading your very interesting "Brian May To Sue Basschat" post, I now understand why you list "My own little world" as your location π -
The most hilariously bad song I have heard
Eldon Tyrell replied to shoulderpet's topic in General Discussion
Good stuff. I hope you are right and we all end up getting cited in her MSc dissertation. Although, for ethical reasons, she should ask us for permission beforehand. -

BTW, my previous post "promoted" be to "Collaborator". I don't know, is it just me, but somehow the word has some negative connotations. -

The most hilariously bad song I have heard
Eldon Tyrell replied to shoulderpet's topic in General Discussion
Nope, this is actually a nice song from a great singer. Wanted to show that Sarah Brand, even with the help of autotune, is nowhere near the level of a singer like Hannah Reid. I chose the live version of the song to show that she can really sing and does not need any tech help. So, it's the opposite of a hilariously bad song. Maybe did not make it clear enough. -

Admittedly much butter but still far, far away from someone who can sing properly (without needing autotune). Someone like her: -

Agree, this is probably the most likely scenario. -
The most hilariously bad song I have heard

Could be that the booked the bar and invited family, friends and colleagues. Could also be that she paid people to come to her gig. A bit like when David Brent in "Life on the Road" paid his "Forgone Conclusion" band members to go on tour with him and to socialise with him. -
The most hilariously bad song I have heard

Well, what can I say, I am speechless and that does not happen too often π€ͺ I did some googling and found the following: https://www.gtc.ox.ac.uk/news-and-events/news/sarah-brand-fantasy-music-video/ "She is pursuing her musical goals while also studying for an MSc." Well, my advice: don't quit your day job! "βFantasyβ is the debut single from my first album, βEyEsβ. This reminded me of this song - eye to eye. I think these two should team up for a duet. It will either bring us instant world peace or the planet will spontaneously combust, leaving behind only a "globule" or a "stain" π -

Man, this is bad. Her "singing" is awful and beyond autotune-repair. However, what's worse is that the red dress is not even as nice as the white one. Double whammy. -

Well, at least now I know where Stu Hamm got the idea for his tattoo from (although, it seems his tattooist was illiterate ;- ) -

Sorry, but the most hilariously bad song does not involve the devil, demons, ghosts etc but an angel, well kind of π Disclaimer: Watch at your own risk. Don't blame me for PTSD afterwards π -

What bass is this? Advertised as Spector lx5
Eldon Tyrell replied to [email protected]'s topic in Bass Guitars
Yes, looks legit to me too. Looks actually very nice. Classic amber look. BTW, the serial number gives it away as a 2008 model. From the Spector website: 2001 β 2010 If there are four digits after the NB, you would add (1) to the first digit to determine the year. Examples: NB 0212 = 2001 NB 2517 = 2003 NB 9914 = 2010 -
Looks like we don't have that many "Old Spice" fanboys here. Ok, let me think - In order to boost sales, Old Spice could follow Coca Cola and introduce "New Spice" with a new formula. People will then complain and force the company to bring back the old formula by offering "Old Spice Classic" in addition to "New Spice", which later gets rebranded as "Old Spice II". After a few years, "Old Spice II" gets discontinued and "Old Spice Classic" reverts back to "Old Spice". Simples π

And it was a Spector Legend NT Bubinga that I bought for Β£999. My first and probably last Spector for under Β£1k π

Man, it's called marketing. Selling you products to solve problems you did not know you had in the first place. Genius! Or to make you buy products you don't need, with money you don't have, to impress people you cannot stand π

Judas Priest's Rocka Rolla: Hard Rock or Heavy Metal?
Eldon Tyrell replied to Killed_by_Death's topic in General Discussion
C'mon. Places like BC or TB would only be half (or probably even less) the fun without these discussions. Is it important? Well, that' s a rather philosophical question. What really matters in life? Of course it is not important. But then what is? Sure, we are all only discussing first world problems here. But that's why I joined BC a year ago in the first place. To have, for at least a few minutes or hours per day, a place, a digital sanctuary that is in a galaxy, far, far away from the Covid nightmare world we are in and affected by to varying degrees. So, hope everyone is having a good time and take it easy π€© -
Cool stuff. Welcome on board; @JohnDaBass. My first Spector bass was also a Legend. I bought it almost exactly 5 years ago (July 9th 2016) from a shop called "Bass Gear" in Twyford. I don't remember the shop owner but he was really nice to me. H even made me a tea. You have to be warned though, playing Spector basses is addictive and will cost you a lot of me. You can trust me on that π I don't think you have to officially join. It is not a club, just a thread. No one is handing out numbers, well, at least not to my knowledge. The guy who started the thread has not been around for almost two years, so we just carry on talking about Spector basses until he comes back and kicks us all out π P.S. Thinking of it, it may be a club and the first rule is not to talk about it π

Judas Priest's Rocka Rolla: Hard Rock or Heavy Metal?
Eldon Tyrell replied to Killed_by_Death's topic in General Discussion
Judas Priest? Early metal (check the video below, from 39:09). Also mentions Rocka Rolla, how it differs from Sad Wings of Destiny, the twin-guitar assault and the look! The whole documentary is quite interesting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Evolution -
