    I'll keep an eye on the Stingray Special HH Kingpin. Hope it will be available via the Vault and also hope that "drop that bling..Kingpin" means that it won't be a blingy bass. Well, we'll know in July.

    I like Joe Dart and I like the minimalistic concept. It only makes sense to get rid of the gigantic volume knob that a lot of people (me included) did not like anyway. Some time ago, someone sold here a "Plank" bass by a German bass builder named Fritz Roessel. I remember saying that Joe Dart should buy it as the bass does not have any knobs at all. Maybe Joe is checking BC? 😉 The Plank bass could actually further inspire the next version of the Joe Dart bass: Get rid of the pickup next! What looks like a soapbar pickup in the Plank bass is actually a microphone, according to the builder. So, Joe, check it out 😎

    I don't know. What I do know is that after having applied the Feed-N-Wax, the 77 looks better than ever! The colour of the wood just looks more intense. Difficult to explain. So, thanks again @Bunion 👍

    Nice one. I've just ordered the Feed-N-Wax. I will use it for my 77, which I am planning to sell it soon, so I think it would benefit from a nice polish 👍

    Very nice one. What you could add is that it is kind of a limited edition as it is one of the last available Euro LX in black with chrome hardware and solid maple wings. The latest LXs come in black cherry, trans black stain, poplar burl natural and black&blue finishes. They also have the alder/walnut/maple or burl top sandwich instead of solid maple wings. In my opinion, a Euro with maple wings gets you closer to the US NS-2, especially if, whoever buys it, replaces the Tonepump with the Haz 9V preamp, which can be bought separately. GLWTS 👍

    Closest probably comes the Korean made Legend Neck-Thru. Here is one Spector Bass Legend 4 NT, Walnut Stain Gloss | PMT Online The new Ethos is also a NT. These will probably cost around £1.4-£1.5k though Legend electronics differ from the Euro (Aguilar pickups and preamp) and also the neck is narrower. The Legend NT I had was also pretty heavy.

    I know, I know but I have a loooong wishlist and GAS is a dangerous and costly disease 😉 Moreover, there is only so much space in our "living" room and I have already been shown the yellow card by my best half.

    Yes, the 77 is great. Killer, earth-shattering sound with a super fast neck (so much nicer than the rather chunky Euro necks, at least in my opinion). It was one of my favs. Why "was"? Well, I recently got a black gloss Forte with a thin neck that just looks and sounds like early AIC and Queensryche. So, sadly the 77 and another Forte will have to go soon (wink wink ;- )

    Over at TB, Scott Ball wrote in late April: "I think we have two basses next drop that bling... Kingpin - Stingray 4 and Crescendo - Bongo 5." Someone then asked when these would be shown and Scott answered: "July. Stingray 4 HH Kingpin is "Black". Crescendo Bongo 5 HH is "White"

    Fully agree, way too much bling for my taste. Really hope the new HH "Kingpin" that they will launch in July will be without bling. It will be black but please without any flakes, glitter etc.

    That's why I suggested a used CLF 🙂 They should be around the £1k mark. Ok, still more than a Tribute but definitely worth the extra money in my opinion.

    If finances allow, I would check for a used US CLF L2k. They have nice 1 5/8'' slim C necks. I used to have a Tribute L2K and the neck was a bit too big for me. The neck on the CLF I recently got is much more to my liking.
