    In addition to the US basses, Spector's virtual booth at NAMM showcases the new Pulse, Dimension and Ethos basses. However, I cannot see any new Euro basses (and also no new Euro LE models, like in 2015 (Mike Starr), 2017 (the 77), 2019 (the 79)). So, there may be no new Euros or they may add them to the booth at a later stage.

    Well, what can I say, the only thing that I liked about this bass was Ian's rendition of "Rotten Apple". The finish looks like a bad Acid trip 😱 I guess I stick to my Fortes and Euros

    I guess fewer returns = fewer trucks/ferries/planes. Even if we assume the same number, then they would still be lighter and consuming less fuel and kerosene. No?

    I get why Thomann is/was so customer friendly. Ordering an instrument online (i.e., no chance of trying it out in a shop) and also from abroad can be risky. To lower customers' risk perceptions, Thomann had to make returns super easy: Order it, try it, return it if you don't like it and we even pay for your return (something most of our local retailers don't do, at least the big three as far as I know). The problem is not only the negative impact on Thomann's margins (which they seemed to be ok with) but also the negative impact on the environment (i.e. carbon footprint). That's also a big problem in other industries, especially (fast) fashion. It even has a name there: wardrobing.

    Agree. I am also concerned that we could end up with higher prices. I can imagine that Thomann kept GG/Andertons/PMT on their toes and with them out of the equation (or at least being less competitive due to higher prices and hassle), the big three have even less of an incentive to offer good (for us) prices. Further, I remember reading that they also have or had a buying consortium called GAP, which isn't good news to us consumers either.

    Great example. Applied to basses: Stingray Special and Stingray Classic. BTW, I am still looking for a Classic in natural with maple fingerboard 😉

    I am not a Fender fanboy either (don't have a single Fender bass) but I am interested in their history. Looks like they tried several different models over the years (e.g., the Dimension bass most recently) but somehow customers always only want a P or a J (and, to a lesser degree, a PJ).

    Quickly checked his channel. 45 reviews between April and November plus several first impressions videos that will be followed by review videos at a later stage. Yes, would be great to get Spector basses sent to me for first impressions/review videos. Much better than buying them. My bank account and my wife would appreciate it too 😉
