First demo and review of Hooky's signature bass. Sounds all good to me. Not so sure about the finish though. Looks like a translucent finish, which can be great, but I am not sure alder is the right wood for that kind of finish. I guess one would have to shop around to find a nice looking one. For example, the ones shown in the PMT video and the review video below did not look great in my opinion. I guess I am just spoiled by my Spector basses π

The day has finally come. Just saw this on Twitter: "Joy Division and New Order changed music, and co-founder and bassist Peter Hook changed bass playing. @YamahaGuitars are proud to celebrate his one-of-a-kind melodic style with the new Peter Hook Signature BB." Earlier, Peter tweeted: "I will then be going live on Instagram at 6pm for a chat with my son @Jack_Bass_ to discuss - join us then if you like, here: http://instagram.com/jackbates_music " I'll be there π

The end is nigh πΏ -
Yes, the third one is a bit more difficult to get into. However, it still does have some great songs such as "We are", "Aeons", "Sky Machine", "Alpha Omega" and "Eidolon". I especially like this version of "We are" (starts at 1:12):

Sure, my fav is Sound Awake. Killer album. You can check it out here:

Yes, really hope so. The tour is called "The Regeneration Tour". Let's hope that this is the name of the new album. 8 years (if released in 2021) is a very long time, but, hey it took Tool 13 years, so maybe we all should just be a bit more patient π

Bought a ticket for their show in London on Sep 30, 2021. Hope an effective vaccine will be available by then. Killer band π -
Andertons also has some very good deals, including this one they previously offered for the amazing discount of 6 quid. Maybe someone at Andertons is checking out BC? π
-
Thanks for the kind offer and yes, it is a strong contender. I cannot believe that it is still on the market. I am still hoping to find a Classic 2EQ that looks like yours but so far haven't had any luck. The Classic has a glossy neck, which I don't normally like, which is another reason why your bass is still in the running. I guess someone just needs to convince me that I can get the 3EQ to sound like the classic 2EQ and I am in π

I wish my Fridays would start on Thursdays π
-
Man, this looks killer! Love that wood grain. Fair price too and literally down the road from me. This could be the Louis Johnson/Bernard Edwards bass I have been looking for. Very tempting, very tempting indeed. Good that I want a Classic with the 2 band EQ, so I can resist, well, for the moment at least π GLWTS π

I love bargains. Here is another one. Be very, very quick, they only have one in stock π

Interesting YT livechat with Rudy Sarzo, Fishman's Rob Ketch and Spector's John Stippell. Showcases Rudy's new signature bass that happened by accident (30:33 onwards), the first US Spector with FF pickups (33:43), the Euro LT with FF (34:43), some info about the new NS Pulse (50:00), and the aim to grow the Spector workshop in upstate NY.
-
Yeah, saw that. Good that they are all 5 string, so I am (or better my bank account is ;- ) safe π

Here's a Bass Whisperer review. Sounds good to me.

GG has some cool BF deals, including this one: https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/191106350869008--gl-usa-fallout-bass-miami-blue-with-black-racing-stripe Β£999 for a US G&L bass sounds like a great deal to me. The bass whisperer did a good review here:

Yep π

Pretty good, only missed out one π
