Same as this unit here: http://allin.ie/assets/product_images/svp.jpg?1266853822 Some minor scuffs and a touch of rack rash but well looked after. Spent years coupled with a power amp and used live, last couple years has been racked in my studio and used as a front end / di for Bass. Had new valves last year and a big service to sort out any little niggles. Looking for £250 ish, give or take. G

Selling on some studio gear to buy some new things. All in perfect working order and well loved and looked after. DBX 163x Compressor. Super simple little compressor. One dial for more or less compression. I use this one snare drum all the time. £75 shipped. EV Cardinal (I know this is black which would make it a raven but it is 100% a cardinal condenser mic). Lovely warm sounding mic. Works wonders on cello, trombone and on occasion the right vocalist. This stopped getting as much use recently as I got a pair of ribbon mics. £80 shipped. Alta Mod AM-20 EQ for API 500 series lunchbox. Super clean 4-band EQ. Does what it says on the tin and works well with anything you run through it. Great for notching out nasty stuff in a vocal or suchlike. I use this when I want to tweak but not colour the source. £350 shipped. In the middle in this pic. Does not include power supply. I have lots of solid feedback and am a long time user of this forum. 100% eBay feedback as well. Get in touch with any questions. Garry

Much the same. Bough some speakers from Keith and the whole transaction was flawless. He really went way past the call of duty to sort me out. Many thanks G

Hey, On double bass I have never tried a ribbon due to them (now this coming statement is a sweeping generalization) having a much narrower freq responce (rolled of top and bottom). I do find myself using u87's, Blue Mouse (this is affordable and brilliant) and such like on a DB. Sometimes if the player is quite mellow I put a pencil mic on the finger board as well. As for having a ribbon in the mic box - YES. You will have 4 or 5 soon enough. They are brilliant solutions. Just maybe not for double bass but my biased expectations look forward to being proved wrong.

Ribbon on double bass!? Not my first choice however in the ribbon mic markey you wanna check out the following: - Coles 4038 - Royer R122 (if you have the pennies) - Cascade Fathead II (if pennies are tighter)

I am a recording engineer for a living and I will later on come back with some beauties from when I was getting started... I think the difference between mine and yours is that my clients still to this day know nothing of my errors. :-)

I had the honor of recording Janeks Quartet (with Jojo, Auduun Waag and Olie Rockberfer) last April Live in Edinburgh. Truely phenominal stuff and musicianship.

I recently bought a Neumann KSM105 for live recording gigs I do. Its phenominal but expensive. G
