10 green bottles - angry Yorkshire folk referring to the old bill...

Sorry for the double post.....or am I???

Yes, but maybe Bon is admitting the fact that by using bagpipes it is indeed a "long way to the top", thus exposing a long standing personal existential nightmare over his ability to actually "rock and roll"...... Do I win a prog prize or should I try to explain it in dance or gatefold sleeve art???

Takes a bow........ Brilliant tune. Up there with the best funk tunes ever for me. Working with George Clinton must have had such an impact on them in their earlier days (Yurtle The Turtle anyone????)

"Ooh that's tight" as a choice but.... https://youtu.be/tX23qUNslJA

Totally agree about the weight! I traded my first (crappy Encore P) bass and about 100 quid on top for the Westone at Musical Exchanges in about 1990 and was the happiest camper in Brum at the time. Still makes me smile when I play it. I think it is a custom too as the colour is nowhere to be seen in any brochures from the time. The xlr was an optional extra I do believe. The guitar tech who worked next door to Exchanges managed to lose the truss rod cover though, but hey ho it was a proper work horse through the 90s and shows the scars alright!!!

I love my Thunder II v3. Had it since 1990 and it still amazes me. What a choice for as a main instrument still to this day.... https://youtu.be/Exot5ESgqR4 Gotta love a bit of Nova Twins (should maybe have won the Mercury????)

The Chinese 70s Classic Vibes punch well above their weight. I love mine and I reckon you may find one relatively cheaply if you look. There are gonna be better basses around obviously, but you could pocket a shed load of change and still have a cracker.

Here's my Mm85a. The ugly sister to the MB5sb. I wanted to try a 5er so went for the 5 way pickup selector for more versatility. Can't slap on it coz of the pickup but still a cracking bass for the cash- 38 replies

I have medium scale TI Jazz flats on my Vintera. Lovely they are too. Couldn't find the Labellas for love nor money at the time. Glad now coz the TI's sound lush. -
Just a thought and might possibly work. Don't play round it, learn the key notes of it and rock it in unison with him.

Never owned one but I love the look of a classic Peavey headstock like this Fury. Well tasty is that!!

A really loooooong and sweaty funk vamp that I can lose myself in, either first hand or sat back on my sofa. Preferably one that when you play it increases the muscle mass in both wrists and arms by at least 25% Like this https://youtu.be/gw5jZjsDkbk -
Which is The coolest bass solo song.

HAPPY BRIDGE.....YAY!!!! Sorry, just shouting it from the rooftops. What a triumph....... -
I almost thought my wife was bigging me up on Basschat then...........I can but dream. I love me a black/maple/blocks and binding Precision though - nearly as sexy as me in my budgie smugglers. Sounds top banana too๐

My late mum turned me on to a bit of Vangelis, then I heard this.....wow. My mum would have been really upset at the news....so am I.

I feel like I must redress the balance after blues rock dalliance.......One of my Dad's faves and rightly so. Can't beat him. https://youtu.be/3ISfX91HERc
