  11. Think this isn't out of place in this thread. I do like it in any case.
  12. Does work for me: Nick Cave - Abattoir Blues / Lyre of Orpheus. Not a mediocre song on it.
  13. Congratulations! Really like the look of those. Hope I'll be able to try one out one day. Enjoy!
  14. I've sold about 20 items on Reverb over the last two months or so. Since I live in Belgium, it's an easy way to find a 'broader audience' than on a local 2nd hand website. I've encountered no problem at all, but might have been lucky of course. Each item (guitars, pedals, amps) sold within a couple of days or maybe a week at most. One nice feature when selling was the 'market price indicator' based on past transactions on the website.
  15. I believe they're from Israel. They do some interesting guitar models (like electric parlours) as well. Not cheap, though.
  16. "Now a semi used look from conversion work" - "I damaged it badly, took a string out and am now asking twice the original price for it"
  17. More of a mash up, but still great imo:
  18. I reckoned it's erm parallel to Fender's Parallel Universe line, but at a lower prive point?
  19. Liked it when I first saw it yesterday, but for some reason a lot less looking at it again today. I definitely think the headstock should be tele shaped. (I know this is not the place for this, but boy do I like that cabronita thinline tele 😍 , pity it doesn't have filtertrons )
  20. I switch between a 4 and a 5 string without too much of a problem. Took some practice to get used to it though. I understand some people never really get on with them, so the only way to know for sure is to give it a go yourself I guess.
  21. I have been able to remove a truss rod nut and replace it with a new one by using a left hand threading tool (only a couple of euros/pounds). However: if the truss rod nut is worn out, it probably means someone put it under a lot of pressure, so something else might be wrong with it. There's also https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/tools-by-job/tools-for-truss-rods/stewmac-truss-rod-rescue-tool-sets.html but those are expensive. If you bring it to a luthier who already owns one of those, however, it might be an easy fix. Best course is probably asking around for a luthier who is experienced in this sort of thing.
  22. A bit in the same ballpark: 2003 body, new fretless neck, gotoh bridge, upgraded pickups. Scratch plate was on it when I bought the body. Seems to be identical to Darryl Jones's. Makes me like it even more.
  23. I just bought an Ampeg Micro CL. It's not a combo, but it's small and plenty loud for home practice and smallish rehearsals. It's got a headphones out and aux in. Very, very happy with it.
  24. Only works on nitro finishes, apparently. Personally wouldn't try it on anything expensive enough to be nitro finished.
