1. EANIE MEANIE MYNIE MO I usually grab the jazz or the ray regards Keith m
Perfect line up pretty much. Just need a Thunderbird and then you'd have pretty much all of the iconic 'classics'.
2. Well ok I give in... here's my collection of four !! First up is the Stingray bought last year off a fellow Bcer. Made Oct 3rd 2006 and all original and has just come back from the wonderful David Wilson Guitars having had the neck re-finished from natural to hi gloss and a full set up. Plays beautifully and gigged on friday. Second up is my Sandberg California Jazz that i bought new in 2008 its my main bass for rehearsal and most nights practice and noodling, its the one bass i will never sell. Third up is the Ricky 4003 its a 2005 colour of the year in Blueburst and has just had a hipshot bridge fitted and the annoying PUP cover removed, and a full setup.... again carried out by David Wilson. My fourth Bass is a 2008 Fender P bass MIA in blizzard pearl.. a bit of an ugly duckling with a rosewood neck and me and its neck just cant get on. So it is away at Dave Wilsons undergoing some custom work inc a colour change, a new custom made vintage profile maple hi-gloss neck, matching headstock colour to body and Lindy Frailin vintage wound PUPs. I will post this when it arrives, but it maybe after summer as DW is so busy. Top luthier though, i highly recommend him. Enjoy regards Keith

Plays beautifully and gigged on friday, its my main gigging bass but i always grab my Sandberg for rehearsal and most nights practice and noodling. I have put a picture of it with my other my basses. 5. Guys, I have a Yamaha DT express electronic drum kit for sale. My son has decided not to be a rock god and has started smoking drinking and hanging around the skateboard dudes !! Its in very good condition with stool etc. The Bass drum pad has a scoop in it where it has been used but works perfectly. The module is excellent and has tons of sampled kits and the cymbals have assignable rims. Full midi too. Have a google and you will find pictures and specifications. I can post pictures if anybody is really interested. It is around 4 years old but has not been abused or gigged at all. Excellent sound and perfect for silent practice. There is one on Evilbay for £275 buy now not inc delivery. Because if the nature of this i prefer pick up.. thats why i want just £230 and i am based in the north west. Check my feedback under ingenius for references. thanks for looking Keith M
  6. Guys my two peneth, FWIW i agree with Muzz really.. i bought mine off Wateroftyne and to be honest it was meant to be a put me on whilst i debated which boutique tube head to buy. Now i am not so sure because, as Muzz before me, i was using a Class D head into a Sansamp BDDI which has 3 programmable presets all the time to get the sound i liked. ( Thanks for introducing me to the Sansamp Muzz you always end up costing me money ) Now the RH450 has completley blown my thought process and possibly saved me a good wedge. I get 3 presets a tuner and that lovely tube sound that covers everything i get from the Sansamp in one package.. and you can link 2 heads together if you need more power. I woudnt get rid of the sanasamp because i take that to rehearsal and Di into the desk.. my back has never done less work !! So to summarise... I thought i would be non fussed over the RH450... WRONG, i am really loving it and if you are serious about buying a TC head... dont muck about go straight for the RH you wont be dissappointed because if you go for the classic, it will always be in the back of your mind. OH and the last thing... The LEDS around the rotarys look so COOL regards Keith
  7.
My Sandberg is my keeper, I've bought and sold loads of high end basses like Vigier, Warwicks, ACG etc, but none of them come anywhere near how well that Sandberg plays.
I know what you mean.. recently i have bought a few basses for my collection and have been gigging and rehearsing with them all and left the Sandberg JJ california alone for a few months. Last night i took it out of its case and took it down stairs for some some finger excersise noodling while i was watching Shameless. God i love the feel of that thing and the sound is gorgeous plugged in. I have had that from brand new and i know i just wouldnt sell it. My daughter loves it out of them all and has bagseyed it when i croak. regards Keith M
  8. Have a bump from somebody that would love to buy the amp but has just bought a RH450 and loves that too !

  20.
I think that's a typo, you mean "or" instead of "on"? 2x4 ohm linked would be a 2ohm load.
Yep sorry Typo should have said "OR" Brilliant Amp though !! That bridged mode with an 8 ohm cab is sublime regards Keith M
  21. Geert, have a bump from me for a brilliant amplifier. I love mine, worth the extra over MB3 and TC450 etc etc . A very natural and flexible sound pallette on the front end and for me the best class D power amp section on the back end with impedance loading options to suit your cab options. Try it with 2 x 4 ohm cabs linked on the 1000w bridged output ( 8 ohm ). Its awesome !! good luck K
  22. And because of this I got to buy your lovely stingray ( which is awesome) Well done Andy, really pleased for you good luck and let me know when you are Northern bound with the Band regards Keith M
  23. contetious handgrenade.... but i thought Maccas bass sound was a bit lame and lost last night. I was listening through the hi-fi and it just didnt seem to cut through the other instruments enough. Am not doubting his tallent... just something missing in the low end!! regards Keith M

    OMG !!

For info Guys... I had the all the tone controls on the Stingray set flat, and i nudged the Mid control a touch backward and forward during the rehearsal as required but i mean only a little. treble and bass knobs stayed at centre dent. For what its worth and only my opinion, the Sansamp BDDI does favour a hotter output from a bass. Am loving that stingray sound .. need we cover a show us your Stingray thread ? or has that been done before ? regards Keith

    OMG !!

Guys, I think the penny may have dropped tonight.. I bought a MM Stingray 4 string 3 eq off a fellow Bc'er "Captain Bass", and even though i didn't plan to, i used it for rehearsal with the band tonight. My god i have found A tone and the band members commented " what the F*** was that ??" Totally made sense with the stuff we play and i just pushed it through a Sanasmp DDI with my own preset into a flat amp and a 2 x 12. God it was awesome. OK i admit, i love to have nice things and i love all my basses, but i reckon i have found a very happy place with this one regards Keith M
