    Help! I'm going to work in Amsterdam next week for 2years. Back a few times a month, but I need to get myself a bass out there for practice ASAP. Anyone know best place to go!?

    Just bought the Line6 G50 myself and have to say it is cracking. I had a samson airline unit many years ago and it was complete rubbish absolutely choked the tone and very unreliable. The Line6 unit sounds mint, first gig with it on 8th, so hopefully I still think its mint after that!!

    I've got a 12step mainly through the expander and through a midi synth module (miditech piano box) With a bit of mucking about and programming chords etc into different patches, I've managed to get some decent sounds out of it. I use it to fill in gaps in my 70's cover band that are left because of our lack of keyboard player for Deep Purple tunes and that. Cracking bit of kit when its given a bit of time! It is really simple to use it through a PC for recording etc, just plugs straight in and loads of downloadable patches etc. I'm not sure about Ipad connection, but would think nowadays all the interfaces and aps you would need would be available. Shame you're in Southampton as I'd let you have a shot of it, cause I was really unsure how to set it up, how it would sound and how it would work with the midi synth and the PC.

    Ah ha ha! Good one.... never noticed that! Cheers guys! Yeah I'll batter on with the jazz and see if it loosens up! I think you're probably right it being a cramp type injury from a tighter position but I suppose time will tell! Hopefully it will.loosen off! Id hate to have to ditch that bass altogether! :-(

    Sounds crazy, but I just wanted to check with you guys to see if anyone else has had or heard of this.... I have been playing only my mex precision with all parts precision neck for the past 2/3months. I'm getting back to practicing with cover band this week and so picked up my custom precision with jazz neck. Everytime I do, after 10mins my palm gets really sore. Back to the mex and no issues.... only thing I can think thats different is the neck profile (one being a jazz neck and other being a precision neck!?)

    Hey, Just trying to see if anyone is interested and wants to make me and offer on this wee unit, as I no longer play guitar and it is taking up space and I am about to move out! From what I remember of using it before in my previous band it was a great little unit, which does what it says on the tin. It is obviously not perfect in sound quality when compared to a lead, but for the money I thought it was good and when you sit down and play with the settings the sound is good! Its in great condition. Only played live twice and messed about with a few times at practice, other than that kept at home.     Hey guys, Hoping someone can help me out here with regards to a new effects unit/ pre amp.... The situation I have is that whenever me and the guitarist in my band do a technical lick together in a song the bass gets substantially lost because the guitarist boosts his signal using a line6 floor pedal that does everything, including probably making coffee!! I would also like to be able to bring some reverb, chorus, flanger, etc. to my sound for some songs. Now for this I see two options available, in my very limited knowledge of equipment that is available. An effects processing unit or a pre-amp unit and seperate indivdual effects pedals. Does anyone have good/bad experiences of different units and any suggestions of units that would suit my needs!? Cheers in advance! Tom p.s. I think I would prefer rack mountable with a footswitch as I have plenty of spare space in my rack, though it is not the be all end all! And I have got a P-bass going through a behringer compressor to my Peavey tour 450 head and 4x10 cab. I think that is everything!
