  1. I got this in a trade and it is a great sounding pedal with a full range of settings. But my pedal board is full! http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/effects/boostchorusbass.html These are pretty rare apparently, but sensibly priced
  2. Sold a bass to Alex, absolutely no problems at all, great comms, fast payment, everything as it should be. Top guy!
  3. For Sale is a 2013/14 SR5 HH in absolutely stunning condition. This is a great sounding and looking Ray 5, and if it weren't for the fact I have fallen back in love with Warwicks I would definitely be keeping it. It also comes with the case and candy and weighs in at around 9.5lbs, so a decent weight for a SR5. It is sporting an official Music Man tortoise shell pickguard. Will take more pics soon. Would entertain trades on Warwick 5's. It is strung with Elixirs and plays beautifully. I'm looking for £1,200
  4. Just did a trade with Bas, what a top guy! nice easy transaction, everything exactly as it should be.
  5. Hi All, Bought this brand new last year, in the same condition, fantastic fretless, I just don't get the opportunity to use it in the bands i am currently in. Best playing and sounding fretless I have ever had, light, beautifully made and gorgeous tone. One of these: https://www.gak.co.uk/en/ibanez-srf705-bbf/92625?gclid=Cj0KCQiA_JTUBRD4ARIsAL7_VeXg4I0TGyp8QZiyyBltG3AkycLMUOIk7TF9gNOUJlkpMm9IeVPbqakaAjLmEALw_wcB http://www.ibanez.com/na/news/f_products/2014/workshop/portamento.html Can post actual pics if there is interest but it is basically as new. Yours for £599 (inc postage to mainland UK) saving at least £200 off street price (list is £949)
  6. This is a gorgeous Stingray in transluscent red, bought on this very forum, does everything it should, It comes with it's MM hard case. The bass used but in good condition. It has some damage on including a couple of tiny nicks and a patch of missing paint on the top edge. Nice neck grain. In this colour it looks gorgeous. Plays really well, sounds like a Stingray should and in this colour.....
  7. It's a cracker! welcome to come and try.... Single cuts are top fun!
  8. You know it makes sense!! You are welcome to come and try it
  9. Thank you, it looks better in the flesh, so nicely put together!
  10. Hi All, This is a truly lovely bass which is a delight to play, is super light and has a fantastic range of sounds. Trouble is I am on a Fender/Squier/Musicman phase and I need to recoup some funds. I got this from this very forum and it is basically like brand new. Yours for £600 They say: Here's what Ibanez say about the SRSC805 Horn The SRSC's extended upper horn between the 13th and 24th frets far exceeds, in terms of performance, the traditional connection between the instrument's neck and body. Scoop-Cut Back Sculpted for comfort and easy access to the upper frets, the smooth graceful contour allows the palm of the left hand to move quickly and easily as it transitions up and down the neck. 5pc Maple/Purpleheart Scale Neck-Through The Maple/Purpleheart combination is as musical and it is durable. These two extremely dense materials offer the foundation of great sustain. Mono-rail V bridge The Mono-rail V is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. Bartolini® MK1 Pickups The MK1 pickups are split coil designs that provides a very wide frequency range and enhanced definition for maximum accuracy. The Neck and Bridge pickups have equal response, like traditional single coils, but without the hum and noise. Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ w/EQ bypass switch & Mid frequency switch Precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypasses activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit. 11. Andy, Very interesting thought, and one that has never really occurred to me! Will give that some thought. Cheers Stuart
  12. Love this forum, great and illuminating responses. just for info, the valves I took out were no name chinese made, the JJ’s I think are better. I have tried at home with all the above settings and all are correct in that flat is 0-10-0, then drop in a little (very little bass and treble). I am wondering whether the addition of a parametric pedal on my biard might be a worthwhile addition? But which one? cheers All
  13. dannybuoy that explains a lot! many thanks for that!
  14. Reason for trying, Warmth of tone, a toe in the water with valvey goodness. My main rig is Markbass and has been for a while and I know it backwards and it always delivers, but it is clinical. It isn't a volume issue because when I have tried it with just one cab quietly at home the bass is massive and vibrates everything in the room, it is a frequency thing, never experienced anything like it.
  15. So, last night played a gig with my newly acquired Orange rig, comprising of an Orange Terror Bass 500, and two SP212 cabs.... Firstly, it is loud, so I got the volume levels sorted in the mix, but during the first couple of songs I was disemboweling the audience with the bass boom! I kept having to turn down the bass eq on amp and bass until it was under control. Any of you wise bass guru's out there have any sage advice on taming this beast? I have purchased a pair of JJ valves to replace the originals. I love the look and footprint of this rig but just need to find the best settings. Cheers All
