This is a great instrument, and I have two of them, and I am lusting after something else so thought I would offer this up. These are Czech made, very high quality, lightweight basses, assymetric neck, zero fret, Bartolini equipped and very playable. Few dings here and there, but overall good condition, plays and sounds great. Hi All, Some ATK300's have the spoke adjuster, some have the adjustment at the headstock, do some have a scratchplate with no cutout and a conventional allen key adjuster? Cheers Stuart

Hi All, Had this a while, really nice scale model of a Warwick Streamer, beautifully made, cool bit of kit. I think they used these as displays in music shops. This one comes with original box, perfect scale gigbag and stand. Only minor issue is one of the tiny bits of wood that make a saddle is missing, super easy to replace, i never bothered. Hi All, Fab sounding fretless, this has at some point in it's life been defretted and it plays really nicely and has a great fretless sound to it. As you all know these are great sounding basses with Stingray on tap and more. I think it is an 8mm Thread, 25mm long. Hi All, Recently acquired a lovely old Nightingale bass, sounds fab, but in setting it up I found an issue with the truss rod adjuster. Some time in it's history someone has chewed the allen head on the adjuster, it is brass. Is this a case of removing the brass nut and replacing it, assuming I can remove it? Or is this a fretboard off job? Any insights would be welcome, I am about to take it to a luthier but would be interested in your views. Cheers Stuart

I got this in a trade from this very forum a while ago, and it is a super comfy bass, light and nice to play, but the same old story, not for me. See original sale thread below and read my following notes: (hope this is OK with the OP) http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2793332 Since I have had it, I have had the Bartolini pickup professionally fitted and it sounds very sweet. The upshot is that the two toggle switches and one pot are there purely for show, this isn't an issue because it all works really well and I will include the other pickup as well, and this of course comes with the original hardcase. I traded this and it owes me £500 and £50 for the Bartolini, but I need to thin things out and I am not using this currently (too many basses) so I have decided to put it up for sale here priced to sell. I will put more photos up later.

"If I don't make it to your gig, have a good one"

brilliant and all so true! -
Some great responses guys. It isn't about the cash per se, rather it is about someone taking the pee, this guy is notoriously tight and I suspect we will do this for £200 and find the disco on £350. Charity gigs I have always done, no problem, and I did a mates party recently with my other band and me and the drummer who were mates with him took no fee but the others had their full rate. I will do it if the others want to, is the bottom line, I just don't like punters undervaluing the band, and as you say, everyone at that gig will end up knowing we charged £200, so the problem compounds. anyway, great comments guys!

So, we are being asked to a 40th Birthday Party, all good so far, he is an acquaintance of two of the band, and he has asked for a price for the evening, I suggested £400 as a mates rate, silence, he has come back with... 'I was thinking £200, as when I spoke to your guitarist the other night he said you charge around £200 for pubs' This makes my blood boil for all the obvious reasons and it looks like the others in the band don't really recognise my opinion that this is taking the p**s. They are keen to do it and see it as a paid rehearsal! I have said if we are doing it at pub rates it must be treated as such, i.e turn up at 7.00, set up, do two sets of 45 mins, pack up go home. No extra sets, no lights, backing music etc and definately no setting up at 12.00pm. Am I being silly?
